Whitefield Darshan - expressions of mind

There were many who had re booked their flights, train journey and bus travels

after Swami’s body’s fall. We’ll for “good” reason since they came for Darshan

of Swami and now prevising Swami wouldn’t be able to give Darshan - why stay?

O’ this mind again or should we call it monkey mind - it can really play tricks

with our decisions and judgment. Can a mere injury stop the Lord? It is beyond

the scope of this mind to understand all aspects of Lord in great depth. Dear

reader lets close our eyes for a moment and visualize Swami’s lovely form.

Wonderful Darshan!! What is Darshan? It is the grace-bestowing view of

Divinity inside or outside.

Lord is coming “regularly” on the mobile throne (specially built car chair) that

gets wheeled onto the stage’s side lift and then on to the centre of the stage.

As a matter of fact devotees are going to have an opportunity to see (Darshan)

more of the wonderful Lord due to Maha Yagna. His whole day is packed with

activities – selfless activities. Meeting the visiting dignitaries, divine

directions to the officials administrating ashram, giving updesha to the

students besides, He thoroughly enjoys the bhajans, keeping beat with His left

hand, given that the right hand is hurt. Everyone is

enjoying the wonderful Darshans in fact devotes are more concentrated now since

they know that Swami’s body is suffering and He still comes/drives to Ramesh

Hall for us, there is a sense of admiration and irresistible devotion for

Swami. Singing Bhajans while looking at the His lotus eyes, O mind pray that

He should look at us, deep into our soul and transform us as He wishes, let thy

will be done. THY WILL: O’ mind you are always deliberating do you work for God

or God works through you? let me give you some advise when we work for God, we

are depending on our strength and abilities. When we let God work through us, we

are depending on His strength and abilities.

A Maha Yagna for at least two days is in progress at Brindavan ashram in the

Divine presence of our Lord. The sacred fire is burning (left side towards the

beginning of ladies sitting place) along with offering of many other sacred

articles and scared chants by the Veda chanting group. The sacred smoke has a

distinctive color similar to that of a clear unclouded sky & a sweet delicate

scent, A definitive purification process is on its way.

Yagna is usually an offering or sacrifice whereby priest or priests (Pandits)

appeals to the planetary beings/nature/gods for grace and intervention on

behalf of the person requesting the yagna. In the course of the yagna, the

priest lights a sacred fire with special wood, incense, and pours pure ghee

(clarified butter) into the flames. However, this is merely apparent

definition, here is what our lord Sai explains: “However careful and

thoughtful a man may be and however much he may want to lead a faultless life,

five faults always stick to him in spite of his care. While breathing air,

while walking on the ground and while making domestic fire and while drinking

water, we do cause great harm to Jivas and sometimes we may even have to

exterminate several Jivas. Because of these five actions of ours where we use

our working organs, we

kill and destroy various Jivas, the Vedas have prescribed Yagnas to recompense

for the faults that we commit in these actions of ours. The Yagna relating to

the Devas, the Yagna relating to the ancestors, the Yagna relating to the

Rishis, the Yagna relating to the lives of various Jivas around us and the

Yagna relating to the guests are the five different Yagnas prescribed by the

Vedas. If you perform these Yagnas it will be possible for you to remove the

sin of the faults that you may have knowingly or not knowingly committed in

these five different actions.

The Deva Yagna or the Yagna relating to the Devas consists of your reciting the

Vedic Mantras, the Upanishads and involving yourself in various ceremonies

associated with Agni and your reading the Bhagavata and other sacred texts. All

these actions constitute the Deva Yagna. All work and all actions which relate

to God - thinking of God and turning over the aspects of God in your mind -

will constitute the Deva Yagna. Pitru Yagna relates to the ancestors, in

particular it deals with the task of gaining the goodwill of your father

and mother, to look after the welfare of your father and mother and seeing that

no harm comes to them, constitutes the Pitru Yagna. Rishi Yagna stands for your

understanding the aspect of Dhyana which was the normal action of their Rishis.

The process of Sravana, Manana and Nididhyasana of the various things which the

Rishis have handed over to us constitutes the Rishi Yagna. To be able to

participate in Japa or Kirtana which have been handed over to us by the

ancestors would also be a part of Rishi Yagna. Bhuta Yagna relates to your

attention and

your service to living things. For example in one's own house, there may be

cattle living, there may be pet birds, there may be pet cats and the process of

attending to them and feeding them will be called Bhuta Yagna. There may be

people in the hospital who need your help and to do such things which will

relieve the sorrow of living beings will be called Bhuta Yagna. Thus Bhuta

Yagna consists of serving and satisfying all living things. They may be

suffering form various kinds of sorrow and to relieve their sorrow and make

them happy will be an aspect of Bhuta Yagna. Since it is not possible to spend

all your time in this kind of service, it has become the tradition in our

country that once or twice a year we either feed poor people who are in need of

food or we distribute clothes to the poor. It has become the tradition to

distribute such clothes or give such service occasionally. It is in this

context that they have said 'There is no gift greater than giving food to a

hungry man'. There is no other person to whom you can show greater respect than

to your father and to your mother.”

O mind did you not find peace and bliss after reading the above words on Yagna

of our Lord Sai, how only He can explain the most difficult of spiritual truths

in such a ordinary way that the ignorant, learned and the illiterate all

understand and find harmony and understanding. O mind lets continue our

Sai-focused journey with all the readers.

I LOVE YOU SAI
