SAI's YEARNING

To pen poetry I am not a poet,

To compose Hymns I am not a Lyrist,

To write Prose I am not an Essayist,

Nor a GRAMMERIAN Am I, Nor a MINSTREL.,

 

Not an HEIR of "VALMIKI" the AUTHOR of the EPIC "RAMAYANA",

Not a DISCIPLE of "VYASA" the composer of "MAHABHARATA",-

Not even one among the 'POET-TRIO" who translated that EPIC.,

Not at all "POTHANA" of "BHAMMERA" who scripted "BHAGAVATHAM"

 

I am not "PRAHALLADA" and be able to praise "VISHNU".,

I am not "KALIDASA" the "BLESSEE" of Goddess" SARASWATHI".,

Nor the "VIKATAKAVI" of VEMALA'. who tricked the Goddess,

To create "Humorous-Poetry", "FUN" and 'SARCASAM'.,

 

Though none of these "ILLUSTRIOUS LEGION",

YET 'SAI' hath blessed 'me1, sanctified "me",

Inspired "me" with 'POETIC-EXUBERANCE'.,

HATH wished "me" to "AUTHOR", "SAI DEEPIKA".,

And thus to Earn RECOGNITION and Acceptance,

SALUTATIONS to THEE O! SAI of SHIRIDI.
