When Anna Chinchinikar first visited Shirdi, he stayed

there for some days. During that period there was a

sudden outbreak of plague at Chinchini. All his

relations left that place in haste, leaving his wife

alone. She was terribly frightened. During that period

Baba appeared before her physically, twelve times,

till at last the epidemic subsided. Baba protects not

only his devotees but even their near and dear.
