Baba's love for HIS devotees part 21: Purandhare

Once, a devotee called Purandare was favoured by Sai

Baba by telling him that he would take his meal at

Purandare's house in the company of four or five

faqirs. He was greatly delighted and told his wife to

prepare food for five or six persons. She was also

happy as this was a voluntarily done favour of Sai

Baba to the couple. When Purandare was about to call

Baba some faqirs came and they announced that more

would be conning. So from five their number swelled to

fifty. For preparing additional food, he and his wife

were getting ready, but he was frightened out of his

wits. Baba arrived on the scene and told him not to

worry. All the fifty faqirs and Baba dined, but the

food prepared was in tact. Baba said he had had his

full grub and Purandare and his wife should dine and

give the remaining food to the neighbours. He did

accordingly and kept wondering about Baba's occult

powers.
