Guest guest
STRONG UNBOUNDED FAITH BRINGS ALL Baba said, “Guru is God, all pervading. To get this conviction, strong unbounded faith is necessary" in Sri Sai Satcharitra, Ch. XXXII. Nobunaga, the distinguished Japanese General, was leading a crucial campaign against a powerful enemy. At a crucial juncture, in the ongoing battle, he made a decision to take the offensive and attack the enemy - this, despite the fact he was outnumbered ten to one, by the enemy. The General was absolutely confident that he would be victorious. But his soldiers had their own misgivings. “Are you sure we should attack, sir?” they kept asking him, again and again. “Let us stop and pray.” The General told them. “That will help us to take the right decision.” The entire regiment knelt down in prayer. When the prayer was over, Nobunaga said to his men, “I shall now toss a coin. If it is heads – we win. If it is tails – we lose. Let our destiny be revealed to us!” He tossed the coin. The soldiers crowded around him to see the toss. It was heads! They were sure to win! Their morale received a tremendous boost, and they followed their General with great courage and faith. Sure enough, the attack was successful. The enemy was routed! The next day, one of his soldiers said to Nobunaga, “Destiny was on our side, sir!” “But of course!” agreed the General, showing a doubled coin – “with heads on both sides!” Discover Get on-the-go sports scores, stock quotes, news &; more.
