Guest guest
GUIDE TO SUCCESS The success and peace of mind can be achieved by leading a disciplined life. Worship of Personal God, use of Jyothish , performance of Karma and Charity are important. Personal God The basic behaviour of each Hindu Deity is different. It is desirable to worship the Deities to overcome the ill effects of different stars. Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya emphasised the concept of ‘Personal God’ for each individual. A Hindu believer has the freedom to select any Deity suiting his principles as the ‘Personal God’. Krishna is the human incarnation of Mahavishnu and is known as the ‘Poornavathar’. Being emotionally attached to his devotees, Krishna Arial"> takes utmost care of them. In the epic Mahabharata, prior to the beginning of Kurukshetra war , Krishna had pledged not to take weapon or fight in the war. He volunteered to become an unarmed charioteer for Arjuna, his devotee. However, when the valiant Bhisma injured Arjuna with his arrows, Arial">Krishna could not tolerate it. Forgetting his pledge, Krishna jumped out of the chariot and took the weapon ‘Sudarsan Chakra’ to kill Bhisma. Arjuna had to fall on the feet of Krishna to prevent him from violating the pledge. In the same war, Karna was poised to kill Arjuna with the weapon ‘Vyjayanti’ . In order to save Arjuna from death, Krishna took a risk. He provided his divine strength to ‘Khadolkhaja’ (son of Bhima and a Demon), and forced Karna to kill ‘Khadolkhaja’ with Vyjayanthi . Sudama was Krishna’s childhood friend and devotee. When Krishna became the supremo of Dwaraka, Sudama was struggling with poverty. He came to Dwaraka to request for help. Upon seeing Sudama, Krishna ran up to him, embraced him , made him sit on Krishna’s own bed and asked Rukminidevi to wash his feet. Krishna’s eyes were filled with tears (because of the great pain felt at seeing the poor plight of his devotee). The above instances are only a few of several supreme sacrifices by Krishna for his devotees. Because of this unique quality, Krishna Arial"> is widely praised as the ‘Bhaktapriya’. A devotee can worship ‘Krishna’ by chanting the divine names of the Bhagavan. (Example -: “ Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare. Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare”). Personal worship of Krishna at home is very safe and without any side effect. Krishna is not at all worried about formal rituals and gladly accepts his devotee’s offerings. Mahalakshmi (wife of Mahavishnu) the goddess of wealth always blesses the Krishna devotee. When Krishna is worshipped in a temple, the radiant energy of the Idol is transferred to the body of devotee. Jyothish (Hindu Astrology) It is useful to have a personal horoscope (based on date, time and place of birth) written by a good Jyothishi (Astrolger). The horoscope predicts various phases in the life of a person. The good and ill effects of the stars are described in this document. A good Jyothishi will be able to tell about the quantum of God’s blessings available to a person at a given time. (Note -: One should avoid those greedy Jyothishis who offer self-made Tantras, Mantras, Stones, Chakras, Lockets, etc). A good Jyothishi is one who can state the past of a person correctly. Accurate astrological prediction depends on the ‘God blessings’ of both Jyothishi and the person seeking the service. Karma (Work) One must do his Karma to the best of his ability, dedicating himself and his actions to ‘Krishna’. ‘Ego’ in the mind and cheating are harmful. When a bad period is indicated in the horoscope, one has to be more careful in his Karma and mentally stay close to ‘Krishna’. It is most beneficial to keep a photo of ‘Krishna’ in the pocket or purse to avail the ‘Parthasaradhi’ effect. If a devotee is required to take an important decision but does not know which is the best among the available options, then the following procedure can be adopted : Write each option on separate small piece of paper and roll it. Humbly pray to Krishna requesting to advise the best option. Continuing the prayer, shake the paper rolls well in the hand. Closing the eyes , take one roll . Open that roll and read. It will be the best option. Charity When Krishna blesses with prosperity, the devotee is obliged to express gratitude by performing charity work. One must never think of any rewards for his work. Annadan ( providing food to the needy) is sacred. Also, offering to Krishna at his temples is good. Vithal Himself Appeared Sai Baba was very fond of remembering and singing God’s name. He always uttered Allah Malik(God is Lord) and in His presence made others sing God’s name continuously, day and night, for 7 days. This is called Namasaptaha. Once He asked Das Ganu Maharaj to do the Namasaptaha. He replied that he would do it, provided he was assured that Vithal would appear at the end of the 7th day. Then Baba, placing His hand on his breast assured him that certainly Vithal would appear, but that the devotee must be ‘earnest and devout’. The Dankapuri (Takore) of Takurnath, the Pandhari of Vithal, the Dwarka of Ranchhod (Krishna) is here (Shirdi). One need not go far out to see Dwarka. Will Vithal come here from some outside place? He is here. Only when the devotee is bursting with love and devotion, Vithal will manifest Himself here (Shirdi). After the Saptaha was over, Vithal did manifest Himself in the following manner. Kakasaheb Dixit was, as usual, sitting in meditation after the bath, and he saw Vithal in a vision. When he went at noon for Baba’s darshana, Baba asked him point-blank - "Did Vithal Patil come? Did you see Him? He is a very truant fellow, catch Him firmly, otherwise, he will escape, if you be a little inattentive." This happened in the morning and at noon there was another Vithal darshana. One hawker from outside, came there for selling 25 or 30 pictures of Vithoba. This picture exactly tallied with the figure, that appeared in Kakasaheb’s vision. On seeing this and remembering Baba’s words, Kakasaheb Dixit was much surprised and delighted. He bought one picture of Vithoba, and placed it in his shrine for worship.
