UDI - A RAY OF DIVINE MERCY

Baba said, "Those who resort to this Masjid shall never suffer anything in this

life and to the end of time. Be now care-free. Apply Udi on the abcess and

within one week he will recover. Believe in God. This is no Masjid, but

Dwarakamayi. He who steps here will soon get health and happiness and his

sufferings will come to an end" in Sri Sai Satcharitra, ch. XXXIV.

A Children’s specialist got married and a son was born to him in June 1984. For

two months everything went on fine and afterwards the child began to cry in the

nights. He was examined but there was no problem. Then the child specialist,

took his son to other doctors for their opinion. They treated him, but the

child continued to cry during nights.

The husband and wife became weak and tired due to sleepless nights. The doctor

who had earlier no faith in home medicines tried the same, but they were of no

avail. The doctor’s brother, Sainath, Paper Town, Bhadravathi, who had been to

Shirdi in April 1985 sent a packet of udhi to his brother. The doctor, not

being able to find out the reason for the baby’s crying, finally put a little

udhi, in a talisman and tied round the baby’s waist. The baby’s crying stopped

since that night and the baby became okay!

Sri B. Umamaheshwar Rao, Editor of Sai Prabha, and retired police officer,

Hyderabad, suffered from a heart disease and heart pain, as a result of which,

he would become unconscious. In 1983 while he was meditating on Sai Baba, a

beam of light emerged from the photo of Sai Baba, which burnt the skin on the

left side of his chest in a diameter of two and half inches. Since then he has

not suffered from heart pain and has stopped all medicines. He became

completely normal by the grace of Sai Baba. He left his body on May 23, 2000.

(From the book ‘The Eternal Sai’)

Thought for the day

May we each day speak such words as will keep us at peace. Each day may we

render no man evil for evil, but strengthen the faint-hearted and do as much

good as we can, to as many as we can. The happiest that we give to others comes

back to us.

Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya.....

Question: I have tried several times to get out of this illusory world, but am

getting deeper into it and ever new difficulties arise. Why it is so?

Answer: God’s plans are always for the good. His munificence flows fast. Get

into the current and establish identity with His Will. That will save you from

drowning. Pleasure and pain are the two sides of the coin of life. Do not be

undone in sorrow and do not forget Him in happiness. Those who go against His

Will, have to suffer. But unless you destroy the ego, it is difficult to

understand His Will. So far as ego persists, He cannot reveal Himself.

(-Swami Premanandaji Saraswati )
