SAI NAMA JAPA – A WORD OF CAUTION

Baba said, "Purification of mind is absolutely necessary, without it all our

spiritual endeavours are nothing, but useless show and pomp" in Sri Sai

Satcharitra Ch. XVI & XVII.

Man is busy in finding fault and blaming everybody in the world, but fails to

probe into himself and remove the seeds of discontent, which is within himself.

Sai Baba would have you draw your vision inward and by watching the workings of

your own heart remove evils with which it is beset. Exercise the spirit of

tolerance and shed the light of love towards all alike. This is the fruit of

spiritual practices. You say that you are constantly and systematically

repeating Sai Nama Japa, but to what good? So long as you hold anyone in the

world as your enemy; so long as you have the least dislike or hatred towards

anybody, your taking the Lord’s name has been in vain. Have no pride of any

kind. Be humble, loving and helpful and you will certainly come by the peace

born of Eternal!

Om Sai Sri Sai Jaya Jaya Sai
