January 11th: 8:45 pm - Evening programs of Sports Day Swami arrived at the

evening program at around 4:00 pm. Then the performances by the children of

Swami school started. They performed with a lot of energy and there performance

was very colorful. When they finished there was a performace by the children of

Swami new oprhanage home. They performed a program about playing chess. There

was an annoncement by Anil kumar before this performance started. Mr.Anil Kumar

said that Swami has taken a

lot of orphan children and given them shelter and food and all of the children

have 1 lakh each in their bank account, so that they can continue their studies

in future. After their performance one of the boy thanked Swami for all the

help. The boy also talked about some of the miralce that were happening at the

orphan home. He said that two boys were cured of cancer and one boy got his

speech back after coming to the orphan home. The boy ended with heartfully

thanking Swami for all the things that were given to them. After that the

performance by the students from Brindavan campus started they performed lion

dance which got huge claps, they also did martial arts etc. When their

performance was finished, Swami left the stadium at 6:00 pm. Ending the sports

day in Puttaparthi.

#ffffff"> January 11th: 11:30 pm - Sports Day in Puttaparthi Just came from

the morning events of sports day in Puttaparthi. Swami arrived for the event at

8:00 am in the morning after which the march past began by the students of swami

school and colleges. Students from three campuses participated in march past.

Prasanthi Nilayam campus, Brindavan campus and the Anantapur campus. After the

march past Swami lit the flame

to start the event. This years mascot was peacock which carried the flame up to

hanuman where a light was lit to begin the proceedings. Swami came in a yellow

dress so was easy visible to the devotees who filled the entire hill view

stadium. Then the events began the prasanthi nilayam campus started the

proceeding with acrobats and other dance etc. We will be putting the picture of

them online soon. Then the girls form anantapur campus started their performance

they did yoga on moving jeeps etc. Then there were dance programs by them and

they ended the events soon after. Swami left for mandir ending the programs. It

was 10:35 am when Swami left. More programs are announced for the evening. I

personally was a disappointed to see some of the performances. Boys were doing

balloon bursting games while girls were doing

#ffffff"> January 10th: 5:00 pm - Swami came for a visit Swami came for a visit

at 4:30 pm. All the devotees were lined up the street. Swami gave a very good

blessing at the exact place where i was taking this video from. i am not sure

if you can make that out in the video. Look closely and you can see Swami

blessing. Swami returned back to mandir as the bhajans were going on at 5:00

Pooja January 10th: 2:35 pm - Today is Vaikunata Yekadashi Its a special day

today this day comes along onece in many years. The mango leaves or thoranams

are tied to the main gate today but there were no special program today, Not

sure if there will be any in the evening. Students are busy practising for the

sports day tomorrow.

It's one of my favourite events in Puttaparthi. The sun is beating down today so

it could be pretty humid day tomorrow which will not help devotees wathcing the

event. We will get you full report of tomorrows events.As you can see we have

added few more things to the site. Now you can take a poll every week. We also

have added a virtual tour of puttaparthi. This will help the new comers

Puttaparthi. We will be adding more and more stuff in coming days, if you have

people have seen this project, but no one has sent picture so start

9th: 10:00 am - Swami came for a visit this morning Today morning at 8:30 am

Swami came for a visit outside mandir. Then at 9:00 am the bhajans started.

Swami returned back to mandir at 9:45 am with the students escorting Swami in

bikes. It's only two days to go till the sports

day begins here in Puttaparthi. So the students are practising very hard for the

event. Click here to see the Video January 7th: 6:30 pm - Swami retured from

stadium Swami returned after one hour at 6:55 pm with students on bikes

escorting. Since it was kind of dark all the light on the vehicles were on and

it really looked nice. Swami could

also be seen clearly because of the light in Swami's car was on. But we couldn't

get a picture because our cameras are not good at taking pictures at night.

January 7th: 6:30 pm - Swami in Puttaparthi on 7th january at 5:55 pm

January 7th: 11:30 am - Swami visits the stadium Today morning at 9:31 am

Swami came outside mandir for a visit to the stadium. The bhajans continued up

to 11:10 am because Swami

didn't return. After Swami came back at 11:15 am the bhajans finished with the

aarathi. While coming people kept on lining up the street but Swami went from

doing this for quite a while now Its a slow news day so thought of giving you a

low down on why we were doing this

etc. Did you know we are doing site about Sathya Sai Baba for nearly five years

now. This site has only been just started. But the other two which are not

running now, we were doing those before this. The two sites are not working now

motivation for doing these site. First when you use to search about Swami you

would get so many bad links that criticized Swami for no reason at all. So we

wanted to get a site that was good and informed the devotees the lastest from

Puttaparthi. Second motivation factor was the easy of use. None of the site out

there were easy to use or updated regularly. Third one was to get some good

karma. So these were the reasons to start this website. Some time we

feel like it not worth all the trouble we go through to keep this site running

but then something happens that always changes our mind. it could be a letter

from a visitor or some kindness some one shows us etc which keep us want to run

this web site. I wouldn't call it a miracle but its something special, we always

seem get papers or new or some inforamtion about the events here in puttaparthi

even though we are not looking for them. Its like some one is giving us to put

it online. So even when we don't know there was a program we some how get some

information about events. We have put so much of our own money and effort into

this. This year has been the costliest so far. But Swami has given us so much

so this is the least we could do. Please pass this website address to your

friends and relatives and other sai devotees so that they too can enjoy the

news and information from puttaparthi. Hoping to bring you new and information

more years to come. January 5th: 10:30 am - Swami came for a breif visit this

morning. This morning Swami came for a brief visit outside mandir at around

9:35 am after the morning bhajans. The sun was shining bright people lined up

all through the street and Swami car was coming shining in the sun and Swami

was looking really magnificent in the sun light. Sorry no pictures this time.

Hope this description is

enough for you to get a picture in your mind. As i was writing this Swami

returned after the visit and for the first time the students on bikes escorted

Swami. There were like 9 bikes riding infront of Swami's car with one rider
