Guest guest
AUM SAIRAM God Carries His Creation by Nina We often doubt whether God really cares for us.At that moment, we forget that the very thinking process enabling us to think in this manner is verily God's grace. The entire creation starting from microorganisms to human-beings are all a result of his wish. He created all of us and thus is verily our mother.God can be attempted to be understood as an universal Mother whose love for his creation cannot be estimated. The very life we posses has been given by God.Then the quostien arises as to why we fail to find his grace during our hard times? The following story explains it all. Shantanu was an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna. He always seeked his grace and chanted his name.Once he was suffering a loss in buisness and his condition became worse when he got trapped in charge of cheating one of his customers. But,he was innocent. He prayed the Lord for help but was unable to find his grace.Fadeup with life,he went to the ocean for commiting suicide. Before he went deep into the waters,he saw a sudden flash of bright light out of which Lord Krishna appeared before him.Out of desperation he started scolding the Lord for his lack of concern for his devotee. The Lord looking at his child's desperation, persuaded him to go to the shore. Then he pointed out a huge, incomplete circle made out of footsteps to Shantanu and explained that it was his present cycle of life which when complete he will die. Then the Lord made Shantanu remember his every moment of joy and sorrow and explained that there were four footsteps during Shantanu's each glorious moment because along with him the Lord was also present. Then Shantanu's desperation knew no bounds as he could find only his two footsteps during each moment of sorrow. When he enquired the reason for the same, the affectionate Lord explained that during moments of sorrow the footsteps seen were of the Lord as he himself underwent the sorrows and was lovingly carrying Shantanu in his arms.Next the Lord explained Shantanu that he always acts like a boat (to which) if his devotees cling then, they will cross the vast ocean of sorrows of their lives without harm. The above story explains that whether we realise or not but,God never leaves us alone while we are alive and after we die. The reason for our present sufferings are the results of our previous life's karma(action). But,the one who trusts in God can overcome this cycle of life and death and get enlightened by devoting himself to God and finally realising him within the self and being carried by him through the bitter-sweet experiences of life.
