Guest guest
New Devotee: I am a new devotee of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. I shall be very thankful if you will please explain to me who Bhagavan is. Bhagavan declared as follows at the World Conference of Sai Organisations held in Bombay on 17-5-1968: “Ninety nine out of a hundred of you do not strive to know My Reality. This is a Human Form in which every Divine Entity, every Divine Principle, that is to say, all Names and Forms ascribed by man to God are manifest. Do not allow doubt to distract you. If you only instal in the altar of your heart, steady faith in My Reality as Sarva Daivathwa Swarupam, you can soon have a vision of My Reality. On previous occasions, when God incarnated on earth, the Bliss of recognising Him as Incarnation was vouchsafed to man only after the Physical Embodiment had left the world. You can also witness very soon the restoration to its genuine and natural status of Sanathana Dharma, the Dharma laid down in the Vedas for the good of all the peoples of the world, the Vedic Dharma. This is the Sai Sankalpam.” On 31-12-1970, Bhagavan announced thus to a question from the Editor of ‘Nav Kaal’, the Bombay daily: “I was at Shridi as Sai Baba before I incarnated at Puttaparthi … and I was Krishna before that!” Prof. N. Kasthuri, the Editor of Bhagavan’s monthly Magazine – Sanathana Sarathi has said this about Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: “Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is the Sanathana Sarathi (the Eternal Charioteer) who communicated the Geetha Sastra (the Bhagavad Gita) to Adithya (the Sun-god) and helped Manu and King Ikshvaku to know it. He was the Charioteer of Arjuna during the Kurukshetra war. Krishna instructed him in the science of recognising one’s Oneness with all.” (Introduction to Geetha Vahnini) “It is also the self-same Rama and the self-same Krishna who is here this day!” (HislopConv-39) “Time? I am Krishna! Where is time?” (HislopConv-143) Addressing His students during the Summer course in Brindavan in May 1990, Bhagavan declared: “All cannot understand the nature of Divinity. Try to understand the Divinity of Swami, who is the changeless support or Aadhara of all that changes – Aadheya.” (source: BOOK: "A Practical Handbook For The Practising Devotee" (Summer Showers 1990-145))
Guest guest
Who is Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba? You are the Lord of the Universe, Lord of the Universe, reside in our hearts, Sai Baba Sai Baba, Sai Baba, reside in our hearts, Sai Baba Lord of all creation, preserver and destroyer, satchitananda, Sai Baba Sai Baba, Sai Baba, satchitananda, Sai Baba This Sai song came into my mind when the question dropped in … I just started to sing it or rather hum away as I was pondering… As the Lord of the Universe He is all that is outside and as the indweller He is Lord of all there is inside. As creator, preserver, destroyer He is the maximum or most there is to this game of life and as satchitananda He is the minimalist vision of all there is when it comes down to it regardless of the game of life. That’s how the question unfolded for me – thank you for asking it. Sai Ram, Sarah
