THE ESSENCE OF "GURU POURNIMA", BY BHAGAVAN SRI SATHYA SAI

BABA:

GURU (preceptor,

Instructor) symbolizes Full Moon (pournima). Once we forget the nature of the

preceptor, you are left with nothing. We are forgetting the role of the

preceptor. It's a big mistake. Keeping preceptor in heart, just transform into

divine and then we have to melt and merge in ultimate reality.

 

SECRETS OF GURU PORNIMA BY BHDGAVAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA:

We should know that, GOD is

present in you, with you, around you. You are having only one GURU (preceptor),

not two i.e. not one inner GURU and one other external GURU. GURU is the one

who treats in the path of truth, he is truth himself. So it is called, GURU the

BHRAMA (Hindu's god) the creator, GURU is VISHNU (Hindu's god) the sustainer,

GURU is SHIVA (Hindu's god) the destroyer. So you are the BHRAMA (creator), you

are the VISHNU (sustainer), you are the SIVA (destroyer) and you are the GURU

(preceptor). GURU (preceptor) is not separate from you. Everything is you. See

that you don't loose your concentration on GURU (the preceptor). Keep your

concentration steady. That is important.

 

Either the students, or elders,

or householders, or celibates (unmarried), or the renaissance (Person with many

talents), all should have one common goal. Think and concentrate on that

"SOOHUM PRINCIPLE", i.e. when you inhale oxygen (its makes a sound SOO) and

when you exhale carbon dioxide (its make a sound HUM). That is taking good

stuff (good habits) and leaving out bad stuff (bad habits).

 

"AHAM BHRAMASMI"!!! What does this mean? It means that you

are BHRAMA (creator), it mean you are GOD. Nothing wrong with that, you may

think it is ego, "NO". Think you are the GURU (preceptor), you are GOD, and you

have got every right in saying so. With the right of divinity with in you, what

is the fun of feeling that I am simply a HUMAN? So you are all the forms of the

divine. With the full faith that you are divine, become divine. There should

not originate and bad qualities in divine. There should not be any pollution in

divinity. Consider yourself that you are DIVINE.

 

Let all your actions be pure,

your words should be good, all your looks should be good. That's what is

expected on this day of "GURU POURNIMA". We should have good looks, not bad looks.

We should use good words, we should have good feelings and we should lead a

good life. What is meant by good life? You should be an ideal to every body.

You should be an ideal boy, be an ideal man. That's what we have to learn on

this day, "GURU PORNIMA".

 

Its use less to worship and do

other things to please GOD. GOD wants change (practicing good) with in you. You

have been worshiping GOD and visiting puttaparthi since long time, But what

change is their in you.It's a big mistake you come here, visit and go. But what

is the use of all this, better such people don't come to PUTTAPARTHI. You can

remain where you are and do your practice. If you want to visit puttaparthi,

develop sacred thoughts. You first transform into HUMAN (stage of good stuff)

and then transform into divine (like GOD). Uphold the spiritual dictum (a

saying) "AHAM BHRAMASMI", i.e. you are GOD. Give up this materialistic

tendency; those are worldly matters. Try to forget these worldly feelings and

worldly thoughts. Till I am present (physical form) in this world you will

remember my words, if I leave this world, what will you do? Nothing will follow

you latter. You cannot carry the dust as you go (leave this world). What would

you carry? You carry with you the ideal qualities. Respect your parents,

respect your elders and respect your teachers. Mother is GOD, Father is GOD and

Teacher is GOD. Consider everyone as GOD. Consider DOG also as GOD. Travel in

the reverse direction (of dog), you find it GOD. Nothing is separate from you,

every thing is DIVINE. It is the DIVINITY, which is so vast, and infinity. Have

faith in it. If you think about (or attain) this vastness of divinity from

spiritual practice, you will progress and prosper. The whole country will

progress and prosper and would be happy. So what we have to learn on "GURU

POURNIMA" is fill your hearts with GODLY thoughts.
