Sai Ram Brother Mohan,

Trust that with Swami's Divine Love and Grace all is well!

Swami says that the Mind is responsible for both Bondage and Liberation and it

all depends on what we allow our minds to become filled with.

Years ago, Dr Samuel Sandweiss (Author of "The Holy Man and The Psychiatrist"

and "Spirit and the Mind") gave an interview in the UK. In this Interview, He

tackled the question of doubt and How to develop unwavering Faith in Swami, as

Faith is the main ingredient for Surrender. Dr Sandweiss narrated a True Story

that was told to Him by Mr Subba Rao (Ghandikota V. Subba Rao). As Many will

know, Mr Rao is a Devoted Disciple of Bhagawan Shri Sathya Sai Baba and so was

His Father (Ghandikota Subrahmanya Shaastri) who was extremely close to Swami:

At the height of His Career, Mr Subba Rao was asked by our Beloved Swami to

leave His Job and attend to His Father who was in His 90's and did not have

long to live. Swami also told Mr Rao that Mr Rao's Father was the Greatest

Vedic Pundit in all of India. On His deathbed Mr Subba Rao's Father (Ghandikota

Subrahmanya Shaastri) called His Son and said that there were three powerful

secrets that He wished to reveal to Him. So the Son, thinking that His Father

was going to give Him details of the Family's Finance came closer to His

Father.

The Father said, the first, was that All Aspects of Divinity are present within

Swami. He said that Swami embodied all Aspects of Divinity including Lord

Krishna, Lord Shiva, Lord Buddha, Lord Jesus, etc.

The second was that when You are with Swami You don't have to do anything, say

anything or think anything as Swami is in complete control.

The third and final powerful secret that the Father relayed to His Son was:

"No Matter what Your Mind tells You, always remember that Swami is God."

The Son turned to His Father and asked - "Is That All?", to which the Father

shouted "IS THAT ALL! - NO MATTER WHAT YOUR MIND TELLS YOU, ALWAYS REMEMBER

THAT SWAMI IS GOD" and he started pounding His Son with His closed fist and

repeating the line NO MATTER WHAT YOUR MIND TELLS YOU, ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT

SWAMI IS GOD!!!

The Father shortly passed away and months later Mr Subba Rao attended a Divine

Discourse that Swami gave in the Poornachandra Auditorium and The Omniscient

Swami said to the audience:

Once a Vedic Pundit was on His Deathbed and called His Son to tell Him some

final words and The Father said that NO MATTER WHAT YOUR MIND TELLS YOU, ALWAYS

REMEMBER THAT SWAMI IS GOD and the Son asked the Father "Is That All?" and then

the Father shouted:

"IS THAT ALL! - NO MATTER WHAT YOUR MIND TELLS YOU, ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT SWAMI

IS GOD" and he started pounding His Son with His closed fist and repeating the

line NO MATTER WHAT YOUR MIND TELLS YOU, ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT SWAMI IS GOD!!!

This re-played the entire event in the mind of Mr Rao and He realised the

importance of what His Father said and that The All Knowing Bhagawan was

re-emphasising this fact so that it was permanently impressed on His Mind.

Watching this Interview, given by Dr Sandweiss and whenever doubt arises in our

mind, repeating the Words of the Great Pundit has, With Swami's Grace, removed

the doubt that once existed.

The problem is that the nature of the Mind is such that if we allow it to run

wild "Like a Monkey" it will be the cause of great agony and agitation but

instead, if we constantly repeat the Sweet Name of the Lord, all the

disturbance of the Mind will be washed away. Swami says that the Mind is a

bundle of Thoughts and that the meaning of Mantra is: Man meaning "thought" and

Tra meaning "to save", so Mantra is that which if constantly repeated has the

Power to save us from Our Thoughts.

At the 7th World Conference Swami granted a Boon to Everyone. If we chant the

Sai (Eeshwara) Gayatri Mantra constantly with Love and Faith, we can develop

Supreme Bliss. After All, is this not what we are All striving for? We just

fool ourselves thinking that material comforts will bring us contentment. The

amazing thing is that Swami revealed the Saithree Mantras to none other than Mr

Subba Rao and His Father!

So Let's all chant and stop the Monkey in It's tracks!

Sai (Eeshvara) Gaayathree Subba Rao chanting it

Om. Saayeeshvaraaya vidhmahe Sathya-dhevaaya dheemahi Thannah-Sarvah prachodayaath

Om. We know this Sai as supreme divinity incarnate. We meditate on this God of

Truth. May this Almighty All-in-all Personality lead us on the path of

total liberation.

Sairam Mohan,

Not only you. Many are in that state including my self. The main reason is, in

this fast moving world, with many nationality students it is very hard to cope

up with swami's teachings. Though it is like that, one way to achive swami's

grace is, by doing meditation atleast for few min and also doing namasmarana.

This kind of keeps me focussed. It worked for me. Hope it might work for u.

Jai sairam..
