Guest guest
My humble pranams at the lotus feet of bhagwaan shri sathya sai baba This was a message from swami,to all his devotees on 5 Ds, Namely duty, discipline, devotion, discrimination and determination. I got an opportunity to listen to his message which was spread on an oration by a doctor during my summer camp in sundaram service society at chamiers road, chennai last week. 1.Duty-According to swami, duty is one a person discharges at various stages of his life, the best example which he gave was lord rama one of the avatars where in rama obeyed his parents, elders, gurus and carried all his duties for the righteous dharma to be carried out. 2.Discipline-Orderliness of living, tension free environment, mental clarity like that swami has many ways to express and swami is very unhappy of our Indians in this regard because he finds it is lacking so much here.Discipline serves as a basics for the morality of life. Even in our way of dressing there must be some sense and a decorum, which has some discipline to command respect from others. It does not mean that swami objects people from wearing salwaar for women,or pants or something like that in this modern era, swami tells that whichever thing suits a person better, which doesn’t affect his or hers personality, much be worn, and at the same time our rich traditional values must be preserved. 3.Discrimination-ability to differentiate good and bad.according to swami ,human mind is filled with pandhavas and kauravas fighting within each other, and swami is the intellect which makes the ignition of our brain work and run. 4.Devotion-faith in any god, devine power, almighty ,realizing of the godliness above us,etc, the best example is prahalada, meerabai and draupadi, each from various stories from our puranas. 5.Determination-perseverance,strong will to achieve, everything in a good manner, with utmost selfless attitude. sairam sowmya Friends.
