Guest guest
New Official Webiste of Sri Sathya Sai Books and Publications Trust,Prashanti Nilayamhttp://www.sssbpt.org/The Sri Sathya Sai Books and Publications Trust - a public charitable Trust, established on 19-6-1983 with the guidance and blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba with the noble objective of disseminating the Divine Message of human values - Sathya (Truth), Dharma (Righteousness), Shanti (Peace), Prema (Love) and Ahimsa (Non-violence) through its publications in different forms, made a modest beginning with a handful of books for the benefit of visiting devotees. Over a period of years it grew in bulk and quality commensurate with the ever-increasing demand of the ever-growing number of devotees. The Book Trust took cognizance of the liking and aspirations of the devotees and put up with them in such a big way that the Trust's Book Stall began to be flooded with books dealing with a wide variety of aspects relating to spirituality, all with their eyes on the subjects discoursed on, or discussed and clarified by the ultimate in the subject - Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The Sri Sathya Sai Books and Publications Trust, or the Book Trust as it is often referred to, is headed by the Convener, as chief functionary, looking after day-to-day administration. It's activities - production and sale of Sai literature, printing and publishing of Sanathana Sarathi monthly magazine in English and Telugu, production and sale of audio and video cassettes, CDs and DVDs etc., are within the purview of the Trust's administration and control. The Trust has a publication Board to review and approve manuscripts and books in English and Telugu, authored by prominent writers on the subject of Sai Ideals and Philosophy as also experiences of longstanding devotees. The Trust also publishes some of these books on ascertaining their utility and acceptability. Hundreds of such books have thus been either given approval to or published by the Trust during the past two decades. The Trust also undertakes the sale of publications in other Indian and Foreign languages. Those in Indian languages have to obtain a nod of approval from the concerned bodies in the regional languages of the concerned state, while the Regional Coordinators in liaison with concerned publishing bodies of overseas countries fulfil this responsibility in respect of languages relating to the area of their jurisdiction. The Book Stall of the Trust has now in its shelves more than 1000 titles of Books providing Sai Literature in 14 Indian and 26 Foreign Languages. In order to meet the ever-increasing demand and growing activities, a new commodious building was inaugurated on the 23rd of August 2001 by Bhagawan. Situated on the slope of a hillock, in the western end of Prasanthi Nilayam, the structure stands majestically commanding a broad view of the vast expanse of green land on the west. The hillock in the rear with its lush green top acts as a fitting background. This modern construction has no floor-wise division but only 'levels' as it is built on an incline taking advantage of the natural contour. The various units of the Book Trust located therein include a spacious Book Stall on the ground floor (level), the audio and video sales section on the mezzanine, the audio and video recording room on the second level, and the Administrative Office, Sanathana Sarathi, the Multimedia Room cum Theatre, Conference Room and the Library on the 3rd (top) level. The opening of a well equipped Library cum Reading Room within the main building has greatly facilitated hundreds of visiting devotees to get acquainted with old as well as latest Sai literature in all languages and to avail themselves of necessary facilities for taking down notes and Photostat copies of extracts.http://www.sssbpt.org/ Mail SpamGuard - Read only the mail you want.
