to recognise and understand are human values. Whatever position one may achieve,

whatever one's scholarship or status, the primary requisite is comprehension of

what it means to be a human. This humanness can be developed only through

spirituality. If you take a seed and plant it in a tin, it will rot. But if the

same seed is planted in the earth, it grows into a tree. Humanness will not

develop in an atmosphere of worldly concerns. It will grow only in a spiritual,

ethical and righteous atmosphere.- Baba Thought for the day as written at
