Guest guest
A Quotation from Bhagawan Today every man is filled with desires to relish pleasure derived from his senses. From childhood, as he steps into manhood, he becomes headstrong and that makes him forget the true purpose of his education, and he develops ambition to become a great scholar, businessman, doctor, actor, etc. He forgets his true human worth and becomes a slave of his impure desires. Birds and animals are content to live on whatever they can get. Man alone has insatiable desires filled with greed. Desires are decided by personal prejudices and fancies. They are momentary urges, clamoring for immediate satisfaction. Desire is a storm; greed is a whirlpool; pride is a precipice; attachment is an avalanche; egoism is a volcano; keep these away so that when you recite the name of God or do meditation they do not disturb the equanimity.
