My sister sweetly sat beside me and asked me, "Brother! How shall we live

happily. always smiling?

In this life of duplicity of joy and sorrow, how shall we be in one state of bliss?

In this world of multiplicity of names and forms, how shall we see one Name and one Form?"

 

"Why not, my sweet sister, embodiment of Sai amma?", I replied.

 

"It might have been difficult until 1926. Buy why now?

Aren't you hearing the Leelas which are beyond belief from umpteen devotees?

Aren't you seeing the lame walking, blind seeing, the dead brought back to life?

Aren't you watching the wonderful play of the Lord Of Parthi?

 

This mind, instead of all these proofs, keeps fluctuating.

Its very nature is to waver, what to say?

But my sister, if you can take time and teach it to chant His Name,

The Name of "Sathya Sai Rama" - the Name which is the sweetest of all sweets,

Will it not learn its lesson of discipline?

 

Time flows, my sister, if you allow it to flow,

Seconds turn to minutes, and minutes to hours,

Years turn to ages and ages to births,

Where is the end? Where is the satisfaction?

 

Now, right now, the Very God is here,

What to say of our misfortune, if we let go this One chance?

What to speak of our ignorance, if we see Him as just that one Name and one Form?

What to say of our folly if we try to confine the boundless power to One place?

 

Anil Kumar Sir told us the other day, Swami revealed to Him how many times he

took bath on that day.

He cautioned, "I am in your bedroom, in your bathroom".

Still how can I think He is not watching me right now while I talk to you?

 

Geetha Ram Madam told us the other day, Swami recounted to her parents, her

interaction with a policeman in America.

He showed us, we lucky souls who recognize Him, that He is everywhere.

Still why should we fail to see Him in everyone?

 

Drama, drama, all this is a big drama,

Me thinking you are my sister, and you thinking I am your brother,

While in truth, Swami is loving Himself through you and me.

 

He has lifted us from being animals to the stage where we can recognize Him and experience His Love.

Now why to delay the next step of experiencing Him all the time, everywhere?

What's stopping us? What's delaying our bliss?

 

No Maya, nothing anymore. He has willed that we should return to Him.

He signalled that He wants to end the show.

Let us listen to Him like disciplined and loving children listen to their father.

 

Now that we recognize Him, we need to go ahead in His Footsteps.

And nothing less than penance is sufficient for the next big step.

Anyone can cry once in bliss in His Darshan.

But now we are required to be in the stage where we never cry for anything else.

 

Yes, we are Swami. We are Him.

He is not just Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba staying in Puttaparthi.

He is everyone of us. He is everywhere, all the time.

He alone is.

 

If we regularize our prayers and chant His Name incessantly,

Will not the mind be channelized and treated for all its illness?

It will be.

 

We need not look with awe at Radha or Hanuman.

We need not feel low before Meera or Tyagaraja.

We can go as high as them.

The difference is just "Namasmarana".

It shall solve all the problems, all of them.

It shall make us One with Him.

 

Now, let us no more let the life go wherever it wants, my sweetie.

Let us take it where we want it to go.

To the Lotus Feet.

 

We are Sai. We are all Sai. Everyone is Sai.

Let us repeat this truth, the greatest truth,

Till it is imprinted in every cell, every thought.

Till it gets reflected in every word and deed of ours.

Not a minute from now, shall go without experiencing this Oneness with Him.
