Guest guest Posted January 16, 2006 Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 I dont think, there's any rules like such - GAYATRI mantra can be chanted 24 hrs a day, through out the year - no good/bad day/hour - thats what, i think/feel, atleast. BABA is NEITHER interested in his physical form, NOR in SOMETHING ELSE. I think, thats only the reason, he looks physically ill. BABA is the GIVER - HE gives whatever you ask, and, whatever I ask - So, can't HE cure himself? - HE CAN. DEFINITELY. But, he's NOT AT ALL INTERESTED IN CURING HIMSELF, BUT, HELPING OTHERS, WHO ASKS FOR. Chanting GAYATRI is good for one self, also, for others sake. He is Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent......but, our Beloved Swami, to make us do Gayatri Chanting for "our own good", asks us to chant Gayatri, on the pretext of curing Himself......It is also His Leela......He being the Mother of the Universe, plays such Leelas on His children. Yes, wont you do anything for the sake of your biological mother? Swami is Universal Mother and we, his children, would be too happy to do anything for Her sake....by which we also benefit. So, sisters and brothers,I look at Swami's asking us to chant Gayatri, for curing Himself.......more as a pretext to make us do chanting compulsorily, ultimately for our own good, than for His Health.
