Dear Brothers and Sisters and the Other in Sai

 

Re God - in view of a child…

 

I recall a response from a member of the Group who wrote to me the

following, in reply to `Heads or tails'. He wrote

"The same Atma dwells in the famished child and the three dogs".

By `atma' I understand `Divine energy'. Yet you will notice that

very often we forget that the child is GOD. We fail to see in the

barefooted child, covered with dust and with a running nose at

Parthi, the Little Sathya Narayana Raju.

Does Bhagawan want to test our devotion?

Are we full of hunger for Love or are we full of hunger for Baked

Pasta, Vegetable Lasagne and other sumptuous food for the body, the

Impermanent?

Bhagawan provides the food. Bhagawan has also given us a Heart to

Love.

 

Me too, Sister Meera, I have an eye for children. I SEE THEM. In a

crowd of a thousand people, I will spot the child.

 

Last December, I sat under a tree, at Parthi, waiting for afternoon

Bhajan at Five. Three children were chatting, not far away from me.

"We are singing in the choir" one said

"I am not"

"Where are you from?"

"South Africa"

Another child was sitting, on the ground, playing with three toy

cars. I sense that he was trying to impress the others with his

cars, making `vrommmmmmm, vrommmm!' The child in me was impressed. I

asked

"What is your name?"

"Chana I…..a…gu!"

"You want a sweet?"

He nodded `no!'

"Why? You don't like sweets?"

I was by then holding a Mint in my hand. He looked at me and

stretched his arm

"Wait, your hand is not clean. Let me remove the wrapping and put it

in your mouth"

A silent spectator, I continued to watch the car rally as the three

cars of Chana, drove speedily in front of me, guided by his skilful

hand.

It was nearing four o'clock. I stood up. My inner voice told Chana

"You will drive a Mercedes Benz, Baba!"

God is Love. Live in God.
