All creatures are Divine and as Bhagawan Baba has often pointed out "once you

are firmly established in the fact of your Divinity, you will know that others

are Divine."

You know that an animal is Divine when you know that you yourself are Divine.

You will remember this episode from the Mahabharata, when at the end ,all the

Pandava brothers are on the point of crossing a river to enter Paradise.

Now, a dog was following them for quite some time and the brothers were at a

loss; they did not know what to do with the animal. One of them suggested that

it be left behind. But the great and wise and righteous Yudhisteer impressed

upon them the duty to bring the dog along with them. Eventually, the dog too

crossed into Heaven. Then ,to their utter surprise and in vindication to

Yudhisteer's wise advice, they discovered that the dog was in truth and in

fact, the Supreme Lord Indra in disguise!

Your story, however, reminds me of this anecdote told by an unmarried woman,a

staunch Sai devotee. She woke up one morning,at Parthi with a huge mosquito

bite on her neck.It was red and sore; one would expect that the bite was

itching and burning; however this great, Elevated Soul did not feel a thing!

Later, in the canteen , one other devotee embarassed and curious asked her

" Wat is zis on ur neck?"

She replied,with Piety and Amour

"A God bite!"

The Divine in her saw the mosquito as God and the bite as a token of LOVE.
