Guest guest
Realise that God is One The foremost need today is for everyone to realise that God is One. This is what Jesus proclaimed as he dedicated his life to the propogation of faith in one God common to all mankind. God is and can be only One, not more! There is only one God and He is omniprest! There is only one religion, the religion of love. There is only one language, the language of the heart. The followers of every religion, in their own way and style, call upon the One God who is omnipresent. It is the same God who confers upon all manking, health, prosperity, peace and happiness. Men may be different in form and name and colour and their country and historical differences may vary. But, God has no such differences. No religion has a seperate God showering grace upon those who profess to abide by that faith alone! Hence, you should not cavil at any religion or attack it or deride it. Strike down the walls that seperate man from man. Get rid of differences based on caste and creed. You may profess whatever faith you like, but, you should not disparage another's beliefs. It is a travesty of devotion. We must respect the Divine that is in every creature. Remember that God is One, the goal of life is one, truth is one, and love is one. Have firm faith in this. Understand this principle of unity and cling on to it. Then, wherever you are, either in the forest or in the sky, in the city or in a village, on the mountaintop or in the middle of the deep sea, God will certainly take care of you. No one has the right to deny your God. you must all remember: "God is One. Love is God. Live in love." People professing different faiths worship God under different names: Vishnu, Siva, Ganesa, Allah, Christ, and others. You may worship God in any form of your choice, but recognise the truth that God is only One. God belongs to all. He is universal. All of you have to give up differences of every kind and give no room for narrow parochial and national loyalties. Consider yourselves as the children of one God. --- Sri Sathya Sai Baba >From the book, "Be Like Jesus": The Good News of Jesus in the words of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
