Guest guest
is it Markandeya is able to see God when we are unable to see God? They were able to see God, because they wanted nothing but God. As long as our minds are preoccupied with the worldly things, we will not be able to be sincere and steadfast in our worship of God. And therefore we are unable to see God. The child is left among the toys to play. As long as the child is pre-occupied with the play of toys, the mother does not go to the child. It is only when the child throws away the toys and cries for the mother, she rushes to the child. Do we cry so for God? Take but one step towards God; He runs towards us to embrace us. A Sadhu was approached by a Sadhaka with a request to show him God. The Sadhu took the aspirant to a river. The Sadhaka was pushed into the waters with the head pressed beneath. The man struggled for breath and therefore with all his strength pushed himself up for fresh air. Do we have such urge to see God? Sri Ramakrishna found it unbearable to live without seeing Mother Kali. He could not live any more without her Darshan. He preferred death to living without her Darshan. It is at that juncture that Mother Kali has blessed him with Her Darshan."Cry to the Lord with an intensely yearning heart and you will certainly see Him. People shed a whole jug of tears for wife and children. They swim in tears for money. But who weeps for God? Cry to Him with a real cry."--- Sri Ramakrishna
