UGC NATIONAL SWAMI PRANAVANANDA SARASWATI AWARD

 

Awarded every year since 1985 onwards, for outstanding scholarly/scientific

work which has made important contributions to human knowledge and his

thrown light on the problems in a new manner. The Award carries Rs. 50!

,000/- and a Citation.

 

Economics

 

Dr. Vishwanath Pandit, Prof. of Economics, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of

Higher Lear! ning, Prasanthi Nilayam, Anantapur (A.P.) for his

"contributions in area of macroeconomic theory and policy and in developing

advanced tools of mathematics and econometrics for rigorous analysis or

macroeconomic policy alternatives."
