Respected Sai Brothers and Sisters,

SAI RAM. Bhagawan will always be with you.

In June'1964 there was a Meeting of Different Aspects of Hindu Learning in

Venkatagiri, Many people of Different schools of thought came and spoke in

front of Swami, Many people came and listened intently everyday, Swami spoke

everyday for 5 days. In the next Fortnight I will try to Put up these Ten

and short Wonderful Speeches of Swami, In those 5 wonderful Speeches on

Sacrifice, Faith, Love, Education, Hindu Religion Bhagawan Gave a wonderful

Description which is worth remembering for time immemorial. This is the

First of those 5 gems :

yam hi na vyathayanty ete

purusam purusarsabha

sama-duhkha-sukham dhiram

so 'mrtatvaya kalpate

O Arjuna the person who is not disturbed by happiness and distress and is

steady in both is eligible for liberation.

These are the golden words of Sri Krishna in the Bhagawad Gita when Arjuna

lays his Gandiva Down. These words are for everyone and for all times. Sri

Krishna says that one should never be disturbed by anything at all which

will lead him to happiness. You have to sacrifice everything to achieve that

goal in life. What is Sacrifice ?, Nowadays you say that if you do not take

Food you have sacrificed something, if you give Money to others for charity

you have sacrificed something, Yes, giving Money to others in need is Good,

Swami likes you to help other People, But one should never ever feel that

you have done a very great sacrifice. What is Sacrifice ?, Are you willing

to give up the most precious thing in your Life to others ?, In this place

there are 500 people I will ask all of you to give me your Most Dearest

Thing in your Lives, Will you ?, Sacrifice is also not just giving but

giving with a noble heart, Why Does anyone not refuse anything that Swami

gives, Have you seen anyone not accepting anything from Swami's Hand ?, No,

it is because I always give with a pure and open Mind and a pure heart, I

always think about the person whom Iam giving anything and not about me,

never think about myself, Never.

The Greatest Examples of Sacrifices are those of Arjuna and Ekalavya. Arjuna

sacrificed everything at the feet of Krishna, Never once in his life with

Krishna did Arjuna ever Question Krishna, Whenever Krishna asked anything it

was Arjuna who would offer it first, Arjuna was in front whenever Krishna

wanted anything, Do anyone of you know that Arjuna was a very Selfish Person

who would not even part with his Clothes, But he changed with his

association with Krishna, He sacrificed everything that he had For the Lord,

that is why Arjuna is always mentioned with Krishna.

Ekalavya was a Nishada a low caste person, He was rejected by Dhronacharya

when he asked him to be his Guru in Archery, Ekalavya practised for years in

front of Dhronacharya's Statute in the Maharanya (Forest), When his 5 Arrows

pierced the Dog's Mouth, Dronacharya knew that He had come across a greater

archer than Arjuna, Dronacharya Wanted Arjuna to be the graetest Archer, he

would not allow a Nishada to be greater than Arjuna, He asked for the Right

Thumb of Ekalavya as Guru Dakshina, Ekalavya knew that if he gave it to His

Master he would loose everything in life, all the years of hard Practise,

all the years of sacrifice and hardship, But he did not even Blink an eye

lid, He cut off his Thumb and gave it to Dhronacharya His Guru who never

even taught him. Ekalavya is never ever mentioned in the Mahabarata again,

but his Great Sacrifice is mentioned to this day. This is the graetest

Sacrifice, Arjuna and Ekalavya sacrificed what was the most dearest and

greatest to them, Arjuna sacrificed his life to Lord Krishna and Ekalavya

gave up the only thing that he had to Dhronacharya His Guru.

My Dearest Ones - Do not be of the impression that you have done something

huge and that you should be proud of , Yes, if you help a person in need you

should be happy, Swami will be happy, But You should not feel that it is

enough, help others, make them happy, you will be happy too, Swami will be

happy too.

Swami sang the Bhajan - Om Shivaya, Om Shivaya, Shamboshankara Om Shivaya.
