Guest guest
Sai Ram Brothers and Sisters, This is a true story which I wish to share with you following Brother Ranganath's 'Do not play marbles..' 1998. I was invited to join the Executive members of a philanthropic club in the distribution of Christmas presents to 'poor children'. The presents were toys donated by well wishers and other kindhearted and compassionate people who especially at Christmas time, have a special thought for the poor and the needy. The children of the ghetto danced with joy when we arrived in our cars, accompanied by Santa Claus and bagful of toys wrapped in colourful gift paper. Full of enthusiasm and eager to share the happiness of the tiny tots ,I helped to distribute the toys by passing them over to Santa who in turn gave them over. However, each time my hands reached for a packet bearing the name of the biggest toy department, I was told: "No, not this one!" End of the day, I painfully learnt that the choicest and most expensive toys were not distributed to the poor children but kept by the Executive for their own poor darlings! What would Bhagawan Baba say in such an event? Baba once told us the story of a rich village woman who accompanied other less fortunate villagers in an oxcart to a religious ceremony at night. She wore a gold hairpin in her braid and when she reached her destination, the hairpin was gone, stolen by one of her companions. Baba says 'the one who tempts another is as blameworthy and as guilty as the one who steals'. One should always use one's faculty of discernment' in all situations whatsoever. CONCLUSION--The key to your safe (Luxmee) is akin to the name of the Lord (Raam), don't play marbles with it! at the lotus feet of SAI anita
