'Sweets'

Following our resolution to put into practice Bhagawan Baba' s directive to

speak softly and sweetly, it is interesting to observe that our highly

intellectual Brothers are often speaking of 'sweets'. Some time back, it was a

generous helping of 'barfi' and now it is a feast of 'gulab jamun'.

The 'barfi' is a North Indian delight.

The 'gulab jamun' is an Indian sweet ,highly coveted by the Indo Mauritians; it

has its origin in Bihaar and Calcutta; it was introduced in the Island by the

identured labourers who brought it in their treasured recipe book along with

other goodies from the Motherland (Bharat)

Gulaab means gulaab ke phool that is the Rose

Jamun means black (or blue)

Hence Gulab Jamun means the Black Rose

Should we try to downlink still further from our head to our heart, we discover that

Gulab is SIA

and

Jamun is RAM

Hence the gulab jamun is one of GOD's creations

IT is all a matter of interpretation.

Is LOVE desire (thrisna) or God (Krishna )?

Each one is master of his own mind (head) hence his own interpretation (heart)

Bhagawan Baba has recently said "better fish than selfish". What do we do next?

Do we rush to the nearest Sushi Bar and relish on salmon and tuna sushi,

octopus and crab meat shashimi or do we direct our thought to the moot point of

the message---which is, to refrain from selfish (egoistic) deeds and to share

our sweets with our next of kin.

Dearest Anita: You are one of Sai's jewels, given to us so we can learn and

experience and remember. I talk sweetly most of the time, but I am a work in

progress; But I will work even more diligently on it. Thank you for the

reminder to live for all life matters. Joe
