Guest guest
Shared by a friend........ Read and think for a moment......As I was passing the elephants, I suddenly stopped, confused by the factthat these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to theirfront leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, atanytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not. I saw a trainer near by and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animalsjust stood there and made no attempt to get away. "Well," he said, "when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it's enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free." I was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn't, they were stuck right where they were. Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a beliefthat we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?True......Right??? Guest guest
Thanks for sharing this very meaningful story with the Sai family online. As a lawyer, I have noticed that many married women who are abused physically, morally and psychologically by their husband refuse to break free from the bondage of marriage. Most of them are gainfully employed yet they don't break loose ; they stay put; they forbear. Male members of the Bar mockingly say that these women have the 'mentality of the oppressed' On the other hand, Bhagawan Baba says that we should all learn forbearance. It is the greatest of all virtues. So we have a lesson to learn from your story. The elephant is full of virtues - forbearance, patience, inteligence and wisdom. Guest guest
is a lawyer - here is an interesting story of a Judge from Singapore who came in a group and asked Swami - that with his experience in the legal system he can make out when a person is being vistimised with false cases and when a culprit is made to look innocent by fabricated evidence - in such time - the Judge asked Swami - should he go by - the evidence or by his own conscience. Swami said - whether you go by the evidence or by your conscience - rest assured you will give the person what ever is his karmic due. The karmic laws are very strong and only Baba can take the pain out of them - if He does not cancel them all together. This is my very strong belief - to support it - let me narrate a small incident that unfolded over the last couple of months. I have had two accident on my left leg - both were my karmic dues. But I am walking on two feet with a limp - but not on one leg that some pandits had predicted from my birth chart. Due to these accidents, my left knee has a steel plate and it does not bend fully, and my right leg has to do all the work. So on a Sunday some two months ago - I woke up in the morning and went to the loo and as I stood before the pot to do susu - my right knee buckled and I fell. I am a heavy person. There was sink behind me, but as I fell it was like some external force guided me not to hit any of these things. Not even a scratch. The next time - I was in court for a hearing as I was moving to sit down - the knee buckled, but a chair was behind me and it was empty - I just fell into it. And the last time - in my home - while retiring for the night - I had a bottle of water and an empty glass in my hand when I checked the latch on the entrance door. Right in front of the door is the Ganesh Statue and next to is is the dining table. Next to the enterance door is the fridge and my right knee went power less - I fell - again I was so curled that I hit nothing. The bottle and glass were intact in my hands even after i had fallen. All the three time - my karmic dues came up for payment - but divine grace ~ His Grace ~ took the pain out of them. Brothers and Sisters - you have to reap what you sow - so right from this moment sow good seeds (deeds) and rest assured - your karmic harvest will be good.
