lime"> This is a fine line of balance ... that is hard to tread by normal

humans. There should be no sense of showmanship, haughtiness, attachment or

identification to the act of doing OUR SADHANA or rendering SEVA to all humans

, animals , plants etc --- i.e rendering service to BABA itself ....who is

omnipresent as atoms in all --Always ...in All Ways! Many "desire" to do

this sadhana or that seva (service) ...

but continue their cyclic transmigration (bith-death -birth) process !!

Desire is important for the false self i.e. 'EGO' ---arising out ofour 'Body

consciousness' We may say that ...a man with a strong WILL makes

'commitments' ! ...other people with 'DESIRES' ... make only 'promises' !

And i feel ....here lies the biggest flaw / defect / error ---of human nature

! EVEN BEASTS HAVE DESIRE! So ... what is diiferent in Human Birth? It is

the POWER of WILL ! Most of men live in an 'ocean of desires' ...and die in

their cesspool of "desires" ... leading to repeated rebirths. So ...he who

would really achievethe cessation of re-birth ... must separate will from

desire, and make his will the ruler; for desire is unstable and ever changing,

while will is steady and constant! Both will and desire are absolute

creators, shaping a person and the surroundings. But "will" creates

intelligently ...- "desire" blindly and unconsciously. The man, therefore,

makes himself in the image of his desires ... unless he creates himself in the

likeness of the Divine, through his

will. As Baba has clearly told in an Interview [ with R.K. Karanjia for Blitz

magazine (1976) ] : " God + DESIRE = MAN. Man

- DESIRE = God" Ram
