his hour-long meeting with Sai Baba at Prashanti Nilayam on Monday, Dr. Reddy

to agree to the proposal for widening and modernising the canal, as it would

benefit farmers of both States. Mr. Singh is scheduled to visit Puttaparthi on

November 22 and 23. Presently, the canal serves some ayacut in Anantapur,

Kadapa and Kurnool districts. During Rajiv Pallebata in Kadiri area on Sunday

Sai Baba and had sought his blessing for the State (people) and the Government.

project in tribal areas of East and West Godavari districts. He stated the

schemes were in progress. The Chief Minister further requested Sai Baba to

implement similar schemes -- drinking water to tribal areas, in Khammam,

Warangal, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts. Sai Baba promised to

Sai Baba that his Government was making efforts to irrigate backward areas in

South Telangana, South Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema by diverting Godavari

waters to Krishna basin. Sai Baba had complimented and blessed the efforts of

the Government and wished him success. When the Chief Minister explained that

Handri-Neeva project being implemented by the Government would also benefit the

future generations in Rayalaseema, Sai Baba wished the Chief Minister every

success. Along with the Chief Minister, Ministers J.C. Diwakar Reddy, N.

Raghuveera Reddy, J. Geeta Reddy and G. Surya Rao, and others also had darshan

of Sai Baba.
