Om Sri Sai Ram

To All the brothers and sisters of this wonderful group.

I am forwarding the meaning of a Annamaachaarya Keerthana which my

brother V.V.K.Rama Rao (from Mumbai) made efforts to describe the

meaning to his son.and he shared it with all our family group

members. Now I would like to share it with all my Sai brothers and

sisters. I hope all will apretiate it, If any one has comments or

corrections feel free to email me.

Annamaachaarya’s Song

‘Anu

renu paripoornamaina roopamu , animaadi siri

anjanaadri meedi roopamu’

The above lines

describe the form of the lord as full, having the wealth of ‘ashtasiddhi’s

or eight yogic

achievements {Anima – ability to take an extremely

small form, Mahima – ability to take a great form Garima – ability

to take an immensely heavy form, Laghima – ability to become extremely

light in weight, Praapthi – ability to get the

desired thing, Praakaamyamu – ability to move n the

sky, Ishatva – ability to become the lord of every

thing and Vashatvamu – ability to make every living

thing as his subordinate. }

‘Vedaanta vettalella

vedikedi roopamu, Adi Nantyamu leni Aa roopamu’

The form sought

by the knowledgeable who knew ‘Veda’s, and a form not

having a beginning nor the end. {Vettalella =

All the People who knew, Adi = beginning, Antyamu = The ending,

Vedikedi = searching.}

‘Paadu

yogeendrulu bhaavinchu roopamu, Ee dasa nidivo koneti dari roopamu’

A form sung by

the greatest of the Yogis, and here, this side, the form near the pool.

(bhaavinchu = to

imagine, Dasa= side, dari = nearby, Koneru = Pond or pool)

‘Paala jaldhi lona pavaLinche roopamu, Kaala

Surya Chandraagni gala roopamu’

The form relaxing

in the milky sea, and the form that has the Sun, the Moon and the Fire

with in him.

‘Melimi vaikunthaana

velasina roopamu, konchani varra ku midi kona roopamu’

The form that installed itself in the ‘vaikuntha’ , it is the

final form of lord of the bird (Garuda) { Velasina = taking a physical body,

Koncha = A

type of bird

‘manchi para brhmamai

mamu neelina roopamu, Enchaga Sri venkataadri

nide roopamu’

It is the form

that became the ‘parabrhma’ and saved us, on further thought , it is

the same form on the Sri Venkataadri.

(Manchi

= the good or the best, Enchaga = on analyzing )
