Collectively chanting Gayatri mantra

As yoou all know that we already started chanting Gayatri mantra once a month on

Poornima day which is 108 times - now is this addition to that we will be doing

world over? it is good idea no doubt but for any specific day we will be

chanting-

 

Now as I started with Gayatri mantra last week talking about glories and

splendour of Gayatri this week also by grace of Swami I will talk about Gayatri

too.

 

To begin with The Gayatri is a universal prayer which can be used by men and

women of all races and creeds, for it calls upon the Supreme Intelligence that

is immanent (throughout) the universe to arouse, awaken and strengthen human

intelligence, so that it may lead one through spiritual effort and activities

to success. It does not ask for mercy or pardon, but asks for a clear intellect

(Buddhi) so that Truth may be reflected therein without distortion.

 

Swami said that by repeating this maha mantra we will reach the state of

fulfillment, a sense of feeling that we have achieved something.

 

 

Benefits of Gayatri I will mention some for this week-

 

1 .Gayathri is Annapoorani. In the home where She is worshipped, the family will

not wail for food or shelter.

 

2. Regular chanting of the Gayatri Mantra dilutes the gloom in the family and

throws light and new hope, and destroys all illustions.

 

3.Gayatri is the embodiment of Tri-Devata, that is, Saraswathi, Durga, and

Lakshmi and hence the blessings from them grant deeper intellect, better

prosperity, and easier automatic relief of family, social and other problems

respectively.

 

4.

If the mantra is chanted before taking food, all diseases of the stomach are

removed. Gayatri protects from harm, whereever we are, in a bus, car, railway,

or aircraft, in a bazzar or on the road.

 

The potential Energy emanating from the entire cosmos is called Gayatri.

Meditation on the Gayatri Mantra burns away all the layers of impurities

covering the mind, accumulated through countless births, and bestows upon you

the vision of Supreme Consciousness.

All of wisdom, knowledge, and the entire Vedas are well concealed in these

twenty-four seed syllables. Perhaps a whole lifetime is not enough to realize

the hidden divine truths of any one of these seed syllables. While we may have

many kinds of bodyguards in the external world, we should never forget that the

greatest and most important protection is that of Jagan Mata, Mother of the

Universe. The repetition of the Gayatri Mantra with intense devotion and faith

gives the seeker divine protection.

 

So much for now I will update more by Swami's grace most probably by end of

this week as I will be going to Holy India next week to attend Swami's

birthday.

Sai Ram,

I recall years ago when Swamy released the Gayatri mantra to the women. As

I recall it was a prayer that was given only to male devotees after the end of

an initiation. Some of the older male devotees were taken aback at this prayer

given to women, but Swamy said that in this Kali Juga everyone needs the benefit

of the Gayatri. Aaron

mantra. what i have to do? any special guide lines are there to join this

group prayer? please let me know.

Pray every moment of the day this mantra.

Swami makes with his voice the mantra for you: 3 x Ohm than the Gayatri and be

happy , Gods bless you!!!

There is no special guide lines for the prayer as we all collectively chant

Gayatri mantra on Poornima day at 6.00 am ( 108 times one round japamala)

followed by Loka Samstha Mantra (LOKA SAMASTHA SUKHINO BHAVANTHU -28 times)

and then Shantii mantra 3 times - OM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI.

 

Plus we will chant special Gayatri Mantra on Nov 6th all over the world and

that is also at 6.00 am.

 

Then we all do prayers on Thurs and Sundays at 7.00 am ,and you will find the

prayers what prayers we do collectively in our sai links or our moderator will

update you with list of prayers also we get update from Sister Melody who is in

Parthi.
