At the same, I couldnt help soliloquizing as ever whether one should attach so much of importance to this aspect of Swami! After all, in the case of Gods and Goddesses worshipped by people traditionally for ages, such miracle occurrences are a rarity but for that reason people havent lost their faith in them. As Bhagawan Satya Sai HIMSELF has said, miracles are just HIS visiting cards. Therefore, it looks like, the so called devotees of the Babas have been insisting on the visiting cards as though otherwise they cannot pin their faith in the Babas. According to me, this is not a good sign of faith. The more one concentrates on the miracle side of the Babas, I am afraid, the devotion side gets weakened. What one should long for is unflinching devotion. Frankly, in my case, I just look at the miracle pictures but that never adds to the degree of my devotion anyway. I consider this to be a visual treat only. As against this, personal experiences of the devotees have greater value as they are always reflective of the depths of their devotion which is more important. Sairam, V. K.
