Guest guest
Sairam Brother Ram, I agree with you fully. At a recent group interview Swami told us clearly that to be deemed a true devotee....(leave aside a 'disciple'); it is NOT important that we love Him, however much it may be.......but that HE loves us. And that the only way to earn His Love & Grace is by truly & fully imbibing His teachings into our daily lives i.e. — to 'live His message.' With love & light,Madhvi Duty is God, Work is Worship Your profession of love for God is not enough. I feel that ... 'That you love God is not of much use unless you get His love directed towards you.' You have to learn how to earn His love and grace. There is no point in shouting and saying that God is yours. You have to aspire to hear from God the declaration that you are His. I feel ...That is the most important thing you must achieve in this life. >From this moment on, develop the sacred qualities which will evoke this priceless declaration of love from the Lord, and thereby sanctify your life! Guest guest
Baba has given many subtle teachings in all HIS discourses till date. To follow these teachings you have to gradually reduce your desires and wants, and gain an understanding of the principle of the atma. That will bring you to a permanent state of contentment. Examine your life to see if you are practicing these teachings in your day-to-day activities. Just by memorizing the 700 verses of the Gita you will not be able to experience the great truths that are hidden there. These deeper truths will reveal themselves in the circumstances of your daily life. It is there in everyday situations that you will be able to experience these truths directly. You have to clearly understand the qualities that have to be practiced while discharging your duties. You have to recognize how each of these 26 qualities will help you reach your goal; and then you have to apply them in your daily life. Therefore, keep your desires and your greed under control and be ever content. This will earn for you the love of God. Your profession of love for God is not enough. I feel that ... 'That you love God is not of much use unless you get His love directed towards you.' You have to learn how to earn His love and grace.! There is no point in shouting and saying that God is yours. You have to aspire to hear from God the declaration that you are His. I feel ...That is the most important thing you must achieve in this life. >From this moment on, develop the sacred qualities which will evoke this priceless declaration of love from the Lord, and thereby sanctify your life ! Swami fIrst said - MY LIFE IS MY MESSAGE. Then this message was rephrased for the growing number of devotees - YOUR LIFE IS MY MESSAGE. LOVE is expansion - expand your love for GOD to all His beings - all His creation and God will be pleased. Indeed it is useless if you loving God for God only. The most sure way to God, as Baba says - LOVE ALL SERVE ALL. Sai Ram - Be Happy JP ~~~~~~~~~~~ ---------- Ravi Krishnamurthy <raviskrish Fri Oct 14, 2005 8:19am Re: [saibabanews] Re: Purpose of Swami's Messages I donot agree with this. I always thought that GOD loves us whether we love him or not. Pl note that Baba teaches differently to different people and at different circumstances. We are Gods children or rather we are HIM, so there is no question that he does't love us. Since HE is Love itself, he can't but love ! Baba has said so many times that ' When he loves us , he is loving himself '. But for God to acknowledge openly to you that he loves you, he will expect that you are tredding the path setout by him and you really deserve the Joy that comes out of the reveleation that HE loves you. It is my direct experience , thanks to Sri Sathya Sai Baba, that God resides within us and knows every act and thought of ours and knows when we are ready to behold HIM. It is also my indirect experience that we are actually (Baba), but in different bodies with various levels of ego layers covering us. Sometimes while meditating I feel that all these names and forms is big fraud played by the creator on these poor souls. Sairam Ravi ---------- "Anita Bacha" <bachanita Fri Oct 14, 2005 0:52pm RE: [saibabanews] Purpose of Swami's Messages Sai Ram Brother, I beg to differ; Baba loves you (and me, most of all) as we are, whether we are bad or good. Baba is our Sai Mata. The mother loves all her children equally; she loves the good one ,the bad one,the greedy one,the insane one,the pretty one ,the ugly one - all equally. We, Sai devotees, try our best to apply the teachings of Baba in our life to earn His Grace, however,we also do mean and reprehensible actions to burn our negative karmas.Let me give you a simple example- if a married woman were to be unfaithful to her husband and thus bring disgrace and dishonour to herself, she would go through a cleansing process of her past negative karma. It does not mean that Baba (God) does not love her for that much. He loves her. He loves always. Baba is Premaswarupa. One should not fear God, one should love God. God is our Sakha at the lotus feet of Sai, anita

What you said should be inprinted always before our eyes and in our mind: "Baba is Premaswarupa (!!!!) One should not fear God, one should love God. God is our Sakha " Thank you. All my love and Sai blessings Berit ---------- rb202 Fri Oct 14, 2005 4:01pm Re: [saibabanews] Re: Purpose of Swami's Messages I agree with all of you. God sees our Atma he does not see our mind. Sai Maa will never leave how bad we could be, does not matter. She loves loves and loves all her children and does not give up the transformation process. ---------- SONIA MIRCHANDANI <sonimir_45 Fri Oct 14, 2005 6:21pm Re: [saibabanews] Re: Purpose of Swami's Messages Aum Sairam. I completely agree with Brother Ram & Sister Madhavi. Of course Swami loves us all - however if you read the messages carefully they are talking about how we can become worthy devotees of His. And it is only through practicing & 'living' Swami's teachings & message - by 'loving all, serving all' & 'helping ever, hurting never' - that we can truly earn His love & Grace. May He Guide & Lead us all! your sister, Sonia M
Guest guest
Many thanks for all the replies. Please think deeply on my ORIGINAL message. I found that a lot of opinions have been expressed ---but ONLY ONE correct and Fantastic answer is there . And that is : YOU ARE NOT DIFFERENT from SWAMI!!! So there ain't any separate God sitting out there as a 'sakha' (friend)! There is NOBODY watching over you to fear or nobody external from you to Love. SWAMI has clearly reiterated many times "YOU and I are ONE!!"What does it mean? That you yourself are what you seek or think about ( GOD!!!). So you must LOVE Yourself --first and foremost! Then automatically ( and effortlessly)... You LuvALL and ServALL ! Even in his latest Dussehra discourse on October 09, 2005, Swami said : "Divinity is present in all beings. Elders always advise that we must think of God every morning and night so as to make our hearts sacred. God is in everything – in mankind, in insects, birds, - in all beings." We should not just hear and read --but LIVE IT OUT in our daily practices --every moment !! Hope this clarifies. Sai RamRamRam RAM RAM Thank you & God bless.
