In rendering service, you should not think that service should be rendered only

to the poor and destitute. There is no need to make any artificial distinction

between the rich and the poor in the sphere of service. What matters is the

need of the person. When you are out to do service, your concern should be

solely for the type of service required, when and where, not the status or

position of the person concerned. The primary requisite is a genuine spirit of

love and fellow feeling. If there is no feeling of kindness and compassion,

whatever service you render becomes merely an artificial exercise, done for

getting publicity or recognition.
