Prashanthi Bulletin

Index of earlier Bulletins

September 25th, 2005 It's been a long time since we have come to you with our

updates. These days, Swami is not spending time outside in the Kulwant Hall. A

typical Darshan of Bhagawan these days consists of one full round during

Darshan in the Kulwant Hall and then Bhagawan goes directly into the interview

room. Later around 4.15 p.m. or 4.30 p.m., He goes inside the Bhajan Hall and

spends a lot of time interacting with the students and staff over there. In the

past few days, many students and staff have been Blessed with long interactions

with Swami in the Bhajan Hall, including materializations of rings, chains etc.

It is a bonanza for those seated inside. Outside, we just await completion of

the Bhajans to catch one glimpse of our Lord when He comes out and gets into

the car. On the 25th, Sunday afternoon, after a long gap, Swami came outside

and sat on the dais. Thanks to a half an hour Bhangra dance programme

organized and performed by the Institute students. A Bhangra dance teacher from

Punjab was here for the past ten days or so, who offered his services to train

these boys with the basic steps of Bhangra. The programme packaged a set of

dance steps depicting a typical village scene starting from the sowing of the

seeds in the farm to the joyous time of harvesting. For, after all, the

Punjabis dance the Bhangra to celebrate the harvesting season. There were

around 26 dancers. On the same day, Puttaparthi had become a very important

place for many ministers. The Government of Andhra Pradesh is making

arrangements to facilitate the movement and comfortable stay of devotees during

the 80th birthday celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba on a grand scale

at Puttaparthi this November. A cabinet sub-committee - comprising ministers K.

Rosaiah, J. Geetha Reddy, N. Raghuveera Reddy, J. C. Diwakar Reddy and special

invitee Home Minister K. Jana Reddy - held a review meeting with

officials here on Sunday. The ministers also had two audiences with Bhagawan, in

the morning as well as in the evening. As reported in "The Hindu", 26th Sep

2005, "the administration has decided to deploy about 3,000 police personnel

for the event. About 300 APSRTC buses would be run to Puttaparthi from

different parts of the State during the fete and 20 teams of doctors would be

formed for the occasion. The district administration was directed to complete

arrangements like formation or widening of roads, and repairing sanitation

system by October 31st."

You can see an illustrated version of happenings at Prashanthi Nilayam in the

Prashanthi Diary of our monthly e-Journal Heart to Heart. The previous issue of

Prashanthi Bulletin is available here. The Photo album contains photos of events

of past Prashanthi Bulletins. Index of past Prashanthi Bulletins... Source:
