Guest guest
Source: Radio Sai web site With faith in the omnipresence of the Divine, man should engage himself in good deeds, cherish good thoughts and dedicate his life to good practices. His words should be words of truth. The ornaments he should wear are the necklace of truthful speech, the earrings of listening to sacred lore and the bracelet of charity. Money is of the nature of manure. Piled up in one place, it pollutes the air. Spread it wide, scatter it over fields, it rewards you with a bumper harvest. So too, when money is spent for promoting good works, it yields contentment and happiness in plenty.- Baba Thought for the day as written at Prasanthi Nilayam today26th September 2005 for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Guest guest
Sai Ram to all ...who are Myself! Thnaks to our Grpoups modererator / coordinator, we receive EXCELLENT mesages every day as "Thoughts for the Day" . So, I feel it is MORE important in our Group forum mailers to analyse discuss and imbibe the wisdom and values in such "holy and sacred thoughts" ... instead of wasting our time in writing "Prayer Requests" for "perishable bodies". Does not Swami know whom to save and whom to allow to 'pass over' ?? ! Certainly Yes ! So when we make prayer requests and pour our 'emotional burdens' on other group members, we negate our FAITH in Swami ( Baba ) . Instead we should use our precious time in anaysisng and sharing wisdom as contained in thought for the day -- regularly ! - since any of us may 'pass over' ( die) ANY MOMENT!!?? So why grumble over illnesses, sicknesses, this ailment to that relation ( REMEBER SWAMI'S TEACHING THAT 'all RELATIONSHIPS are FALSE / illusory' !!) How is my suggestion?? Thanks, Ram Ram Sairam
Guest guest
Varadharajan Aiyangar <avvrajan Tue Sep 27, 2005 6:45am Re: [saibabanews] Re: Thought for the Day - 26th September 2005 Sairam, Your suggestion is very nice and it can be practiced only by highly spiritually evolved souls. For those who are in the process of spiritual evolution, we will find each person in a particular plane, perhaps each one different from the other. In that case, we will find people crying and complaining about all material things. Some may cry about wealth problems, some may cry about health problems and some may about relationship problems. It is not easy for them to shun those feelings away, as their cries are all due to their earlier vaasanas which overwhelmingly suppress them while they are trying to come out. So, my dear friend, a true Sai devotee should patiently listen to all these problems and empathise with them and work with them to alleviate these problems, rather than getting upset over their cries. SWAMI keeps on teaching us about Advaita and advises us not to ask for this and that, but HE also gives us when we ask for something and thus gives us a chance to work our way up. If HE loses patience then where are we to go? Just think it over. If I am wrong, just let me know. Sairam, Kumar. ---------- DEEPAK RAJYAGOR <dr0729 Tue Sep 27, 2005 0:48am Re: [saibabanews] Re: Thought for the Day - 26th September 2005 Dear Ram Ram, You are certainly entitled to your opinion. One must realize that everyone of us is not at the same level of spiritual enlightenment. Our modes of worship differ. Some seek solace through prayers. No one can escape fate. Yet ,there is such a thing as divine grace which is capable of bringing dead people back to life albeit for a short duration. Even the Lord when in Human form takes on the the temporary mortal body in order to fullfill the mission. !!!!. It is all divine Leela. So let us not judge others for their outlook just because it happens to be different from ours. A Message from Bhagawan ----------------------- You have no right to judge other's actions, For you do not know their circumstances. You are unaware of their past, Or present, or future. How can you enlist Their strengths and weaknesses? Depict character by showing no judgment. Be a rock and stand by all. Become an image of virtue and strength, And give others strength thereby. There is no stronger influence Than being a good example. I do not judge you at any time. I live My life by example and not by mere words. I stand beside you at all times. I bestow on you faith and devotion, To be able to face your karmas. Use my strength, that you are unaware of. It lays within you waiting for it to be found. Find it, use it, and enrich your lives. I do't see whats wrong in sharing your agony with fellow beings and take strength from the fact that there are others you care for you. There is power in group prayer and Sai family should't be just a bhajan group. sairam Ravi ---------- "Anita Bacha" <bachanita Tue Sep 27, 2005 5:45am RE: [saibabanews] Re: Thought for the Day - 26th September 2005 Sai Ram Brother Ram! Guest guest
We are not permanant and at any time one of us can go. who is that lucky person to leave this rental house and go to a new house ( body). After knowing all this so much of impatience. If you are in SATSANG, you will meet different people. Each one is at different level as Kumar Sairam has rightly said. If you want to reach your goal first thing you should have is patience & perseverance. Why you are in this Group, because of our leader GURU SWAMY. What Swamy says LOVE ALL SERVE ALL. Then you should love your classmates and help them who needs it. THIS IS A QUESTION & FOOD FOR YOUR THINKING. Guest guest
Sai Ram ! Dear Brothers, Sisters and Others ... Re: Thought for the Day - 26th September 2005 I refer to all of your most interesting replies and postings in . First we should have respect and gratitude for our Webmaster / Coordinator / Moderator(s) -- who are doing a brilliant job in helping us express and share our views . So each of our time is valuable . So why fritter it away in expressing agonies of "perishable bodies" --consuming valuable Group reader's precious time ? Well..I wish to emphasize that it is just a personal sharing of a private metaphysical conviction . My point is ...Why to make the sacred an "agony Aunt / Uncle posting column" poring out personal agonies to all readers ... when the whole world is such a beautiful place ?? We MUST learn to look at the bright sunny side ALWAYS ... in ALL WAYS !! After all YOU are NOT different from Swami ! Then why the despair and agony if someone is sick or ill or dead. In fact one should be happy that one is in that state ---as he / she is ENJOYING the fruits of his OWN PAST Karmic actions thru intense suffering and illness and accidents !!! So as SWAMI clearly says, i see it as a PERSONAL Karmic CLEANSING process . So why "pour" it out compulsorily and obstinately on all willing and unwilling readers and memebers of our Sai ?? Let him/her ENJOY the sufeering in the above context ! My Love to all brethren! May they receive the holy Light of SAI who they are themselves ! Get that ? I further welcome your views on this ...
