The purpose of human life (Need advice/suggestions)

Sai Ram, dear Saimohan Uchil, I never had a messianic concept of life. To me,

life in itself, to live it, was its purpose and it seemed fine to me. Then, 16

years ago, the Divine Wind came into my life in the Form of Sri Sathya Sai Baba

and, through His teachings, I learned that there was a higher, loftier purpose

to all existence and, in particular, to human life: To realize one's own

divinity and this way reach the only true and everlasting happiness there is:

Union with God.

Since I never entertained the idea of any other purpose for my own life than to

live it by learning as much as possible, being as kind as possible and doing as

much as possible for those persons and ideals I felt in my heart were worthy of

my efforts and love, when I came across Swami's teaching about the true and

loftiest purpose of life, I was ready to embrace it.

That is the true purpose of life for all. Swami, however, gives both general as

well as individual advice to His devotees. You seem to be needing some specific

personal guidance at this point in your life so, why not ask Him directly? Who

can be better qualified than Swami to give it to you?

One thing I often do that gives me great results is to ask Him anything I want

or need to know before going to sleep at night. He usually answers the next

morning or soon after. Why don't you try that? Who else can tell you the truth

regarding what you need to know about your own destiny?

Once you ask, be on the alert for Swami's response. It can come to you in many

forms. But I'm sure you will know it is His answer once it reaches you.
