THIRUNILANAKKA NAYANAR font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">In the town Thiruch Chaththa Mangai born the lover of the Shri Nilakantha by name font-style:normal">Nila Nakkanar. By knowing the Vedas he derived the wisdom of serving the Almighty and His devotees with a loving heart. He would do worship to Lord Siva everyday with deep humbleness, then would host a feast for the devotees and do the needful for them. One auspicious font-style:normal">Adhirai day after performing the prayers at home, he went along with his loving wife, with all the substances for the worship in abundance to the temple of the Lord of Ayavanthi. He offered the Lord the flowers and other holy substances and prostrated in front of Him. Completing the puja with an unsaturated love he circumambulated the abode and was meditating with the Holy Five Letters. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">At that time a spider slipped on Lord’s body. Nayanar's wife who was standing nearby, like a mother who cares for her child, blew to drive away the insect. Due to the immense love she had on the Lord, she did it instantly. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> Nayanar appalled by his wife's deed, asked her in a shivering voice, what she did. The chaste lady narrated her act. Nilanakkar said it was against the Agamic (vedic) teachings, she should have used some other means than blowing from mouth as saliva could fall on the Lord. He did worships to plead for forgiveness for her deed and went away after leaving his wife there in anger. 10.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">The Sun went down in the West horizon. Nayanar went asleep in his house. His wife who did the act of love on Lord, unable to disobey her husband’s order stayed back in the temple. The same night the Compassionate Lord who is pleased easily with love rather than with rituals, appeared in Nayanar’s dream. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> "Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">The supreme showed His body and said, " Look ! This is where she blew and that part is alright whereas the other side is swelling because of the spider". font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Trirunilanakkar was shocked by what the Lord told him, praised Him, danced and yelled. In the dawn he rushed to the abode of the Lord of Ayavanthi fell down on His rescuing feet, adored Him and brought his loving wife back home. He continued his service to the Lord and the devotees with complete love. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Hearing the marvellous shymns of Thiunyanachampandhar and his marvels, Nilanakkar developed a great wish to see him and serve him. When he heard that he is coming with a group of devotees coming towards Thiruch Chaththa Mangai, he went to bring them to his house and hosted the devotees in his house. In the Sunset Thirunyanachampandhar requested Thirunilanakkar to give a place to Yalpanar and his wife. Nayanar without any humiliation gave the place where the sacred fire is grown for Vedic worship, to that devotional music couple. The falseness of birth dependent humiliation of people was thwarted off. When people have dedicated themselves to that Raceless Lord , what is there in between them to consider high or low ? The ritual fire at that central hall where Yalpanar along with his wife resided glowed very bright. 10.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">At the time of Champandhar's wedding he played major role in the rituals (pouring the rice that is fried in the ritual fire). Saluting the Lord he merged in the Shiva Jyothi that appeared in the wedding celebration to reside under the Feet that is praised by holy scriptures. 10.0pt;font-family:Arial">Sai Ram 10.0pt;font-family:Arial"> 10.0pt;font-family:Arial">Shivathmika Attachment: (image/jpeg) image001.jpg [not stored]
