CHUNDHARAMURTHI NAYANAR (NAMBIYARURAR) - Part VII font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> bold">The font-style:normal">Chera emperor "Comic Sans MS";font-style:normal">Perumakkodhaiyar who had enthroned in his heart the Lord who dances in the forests smearing the ash, had come to know about the devotional singing of Chundharar through the Lord Himself. In the zeal of meeting a splendid devotee he reached Thiruvarur. Cheraman who was most humble towards the devotees of the Red-matted-haired Lord saluted and Chundharar saluted him in reference. The two hugged each other with their unified inclination towards the Lord of justice flag bringing them close to each other. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> This true friendship made Arurar to be called Cheraman Tholar (The friend of Cherar). Both Chundharar and Cheraman together visited many holy abodes of Lord Shiva and sang many hymns on the loving God. bold">After the return of Chundharar to his home, one day he thambirAn thOzar thought of his great friend and devotee Cheraman Perumal whose love and devotion symphonized with his color:blue">. He left Thiruvarur saluting the Lord Shankara to see the spiritual associate. 10.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">On the way to the mountainous Kerala he crossed the kongu state. In the town Thiruppukkoliyur he heard the sounds of joy and weep from two opposite houses simultaneously emanating like the two swings of the life. He was told by the local people that there were two five year old children in those houses. One was eaten up by a crocodile. The house of the one survived was celebrating his Upa Nayanam (spiritual sight giving) while the other family cried in remembrance of the lost boy. Chundharar's heart of love where the Merciful is adorned, melted in grief for that family. Coming to know about the arrival of Nayanar that couple hiding their sorrow, saluted him and welcomed. Determined to drive away their sorrow by the Divine's Grace he sang the Lord of font-style:normal">Avinashi at the lake where the boy was eaten up. The marvel occurred by His Grace, the crocodile spitted out the boy as he would have grown through the years if he had not been eaten by the crocodile! The thrilled mother ran to hug and kiss her boy. They saluted Chundharar Peruman and he saluted the Shiva Peruman font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue">. bold">Finding the bliss in the Feet of the Father Who wears feathers on the flowing jets of hair in the abodes of the west that were on the way, Arurar reached in the Chera kingdom. Delighted to hear his dear friend arrived the devotional emperor Perumakkodhaiyar rushed to the border receiving him in a resplendent manner. The two poets who praise only the Peerless Paraman saluted and hugged each other after a long bodily separation though their minds were together under the two floral Feet of the Lord. The king took him on an elephant, he holding a radiant white umbrella for Nayanar, to the royal palace. Arurar accepted the services inn love of the saintly supremo of the Chera land. bold">One day when Cherar was involved in the enchanting worship of the Snake coiled Lord, Nayanar entered the Lord's abode Thiruvanychaikkalam. Bowing down in bhakthi many times he sang the Blissful Thalikkuth Thalai Malai with the intention of breaking the bondful worldly affairs. He wanted to return to his service in Kailayam. color:blue"> font-weight:bold">The Supreme commanded the divines to bring the devotee on a white elephant as his purpose of wordly life was over. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> Chundharar who was called as Thampiran Tholar (friend if the God) thanking the Merciful got on to that elephant thinking the truthfulness of his friendship with the Chera king. The devoted Chera King immediately realized the thinking of Chundharar rushed on a horse that stood nearby to Vanychaikkalam and saw the Nayanar elegantly riding on an elephant to Lord's Kayilai. 10.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">The King didn't stop, chanted the powerful and supreme Holy Five Letters – “Na Ma Shi Va Ya” of the Lord in to the ears of the horse and it rushed raising in the air. His horse reached Chundharar's elephant circumambulated and continued in the whisk towards the Sacred Abode font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue">. bold">On his way the blessed Chundharar sang Thanenai Munpadaiththan praising the immense Grace that the Lord showered to him. On reaching the southern gate of the mount, Cherar and Chundharar got down and with the mind directed towards the Unique proceeded to His abode. At the gate of the abode Cherar was stopped by the gate-keepers, while chundharar was allowed to the place of the Lord. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">Like the calf that rushes to the cow after a long separation Chundharar rushed to the Lord as a opened up spring of love praising Him, saluting Him and loosing himself in Him. He thanked the peerless Grace He did to him. The pure hearted one even after attaining the only and highly valuable bliss for the self, indicated to the Lord that the Chera king was still outside. The Lord ordered him to be granted permission to enter His place. The great devotee Cheraman who was blessed with such a marvellous friend rushed to the Floral Feet of the Lord singing Him in Thiruk Kayilaya Nyana Ula. Chundharar becoming again Alala Chundharar in His service and along with Cheraman became the heads of the service groups of the Lord in His abode.
