who dances in the forests smearing the ash, had come to know about the

devotional singing of Chundharar through the Lord Himself. In the zeal of

meeting a splendid devotee he reached Thiruvarur. Cheraman who was most humble

towards the devotees of the Red-matted-haired Lord saluted and Chundharar

saluted him in reference. The two hugged each other with their unified

inclination towards the Lord of justice flag bringing them close to each other.

true friendship made Arurar to be called Cheraman Tholar (The friend of Cherar).

Both Chundharar and Cheraman together visited many

holy abodes of Lord Shiva and sang many hymns on the loving God.

the mountainous Kerala he crossed the kongu state. In the town Thiruppukkoliyur

he heard the sounds of joy and weep from two opposite houses simultaneously

emanating like the two swings of the life. He was told by the local people that

there were two five year old children in those houses. One was eaten up by a

crocodile. The house of the one survived was celebrating his Upa

Nayanam (spiritual sight giving) while the other family

cried in remembrance of the lost boy. Chundharar's heart of love where the

Merciful is adorned, melted in grief for that family. Coming to know about the

arrival of Nayanar that couple hiding their sorrow, saluted him and welcomed.

Determined to drive away their sorrow by the Divine's Grace he sang the Lord of

font-style:normal">Avinashi at the lake where the boy

was eaten up. The marvel occurred by His Grace, the crocodile spitted out the

boy as he would have grown through the years if he had not been eaten by the

crocodile! The thrilled mother ran to hug and kiss her boy. They saluted

Chundharar Peruman and he saluted the Shiva Peruman

bold">Finding the bliss in the Feet of the Father Who wears feathers on the

flowing jets of hair in the abodes of the west that were on the way, Arurar

reached in the Chera kingdom. Delighted to hear his dear friend arrived the

devotional emperor Perumakkodhaiyar rushed to the border receiving him in a

resplendent manner. The two poets who praise only the Peerless Paraman

saluted and hugged each other after a long bodily separation though their minds

were together under the two floral Feet of the Lord. The king took him on an

elephant, he holding a radiant white umbrella for Nayanar, to the royal palace.

Arurar accepted the services inn love of the saintly supremo of the Chera land.

bold">One day when Cherar was involved in the enchanting worship of the Snake

coiled Lord, Nayanar entered the Lord's abode Thiruvanychaikkalam.

Bowing down in bhakthi many times he sang the Blissful Thalikkuth

Thalai Malai with the intention

of breaking the bondful worldly affairs. He wanted to return to his

service in Kailayam.

font-weight:bold">The Supreme commanded the divines to bring the devotee on a

white elephant as his purpose of wordly life was over.

Chera king. The devoted Chera King immediately realized the thinking of

Chundharar rushed on a horse that stood nearby to Vanychaikkalam and saw the

Nayanar elegantly riding on an elephant to Lord's Kayilai.

didn't stop, chanted the powerful and supreme Holy Five Letters –

“Na Ma Shi Va Ya” of the Lord in to the ears of

bold">On his way the blessed Chundharar sang Thanenai Munpadaiththan praising

the immense Grace that the Lord

showered to him. On reaching the southern gate of the mount, Cherar and

Chundharar got down and with the mind directed towards the Unique proceeded to

His abode. At the gate of the abode Cherar was stopped by the gate-keepers,

while chundharar was allowed to the place of the Lord.

font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">Like the calf that

rushes to the cow after a long separation Chundharar rushed to the Lord as a

opened up spring of love praising Him, saluting Him and loosing himself in Him.

He thanked the peerless Grace He did to him. The pure hearted one even after

attaining the only and highly valuable bliss for the self, indicated to the Lord

that the Chera king was still outside. The Lord ordered him to be granted

permission to enter His place. The great devotee Cheraman who was blessed with

such a marvellous friend rushed to the Floral Feet of the Lord singing Him in Thiruk

Kayilaya Nyana Ula. Chundharar becoming again Alala

Chundharar in

His service and along with Cheraman became the heads of the service groups of

the Lord in His abode. By the blessings of the Goddess Shakthi Paravaiyar, Changiliyar

completed their worldly life and became Kamaliniyar, Anindhidhaiyar to serve Her back at Kailayam .
