Guest guest
For those interested by the subject 1. A Word of Explanation Students of Indian religion, psychology, and philosophy are likely to encounter many references to "kundalini" during their studies. Kundalini is the powerful energy that resides in one at the base of the spine. It operates naturally through channels (nadis) and power centres (chakras) in the body to awaken psychic sensitivity as one grows spiritually. However, kundalini also controls various unconscious processes such as digestion, respiration, and elimination through the pranas (energy currents in the body). In fact, all of the body's functions are powered by that source current. Controversy arises when teachers advocate exercises to stimulate the activity of this power for the purpose of gaining extraordinary psychic and mental abilities. Many kundalini teachers promote exercises for the control of that force with little regard to the dangers involved. Those who are tempted to follow that path should realize that the conscious manipulation of that power carries serious potential risks to their ph ysical and mental health. more : http://www.sairama.com/k/kundalini.htm om sai ram jean francois
