Sing in the International Sai Choir during Birthday Celebrations

International Choir Concert Om Sai Ram

2005 marks the 80th Birthday of our Beloved Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai. The

celebration of this wonderful occasion will include an International Choir

concert.

On 1 January, the International Sai Choir had a wonderful performance, which

Bhagavan enjoyed very much, so, as part of the celebrations to be held in

Prasanthi Nilayam during the 80th Birthday of Our Beloved Bhagavan, devotees

from overseas countries will join again to dedicate our love to Swami in a

program with a total duration of 30 to 45 minutes and possibly longer.

The singers will be high and low voice for women and high and low voice for men.

Since this will be a high quality choir, interested singers will have auditions

in Prasanthi Nilayam on November 7-8. The rehearsals will start on 9 November,

and the concert will take place between 19-25 November.

Confirmation of registering will be received within one week. If this is not the

case then please mail again in case of viruses.

The songs in all the voices will be put on the internet in the middle of

October. Choir members will receive an email when to take the music from the

internet, along with instructions on how this can be done. Please wait until

you get the message that the music is available. Choir members will have to

prepare the songs in advance. Here are some points to consider:

We will sing from memory, so please start learning the words and music before

you come. Darshan or bhajans may have to be missed because of rehearsals. Gents

to be dressed in white suits. Ladies in (standard) saris. Final date for

registering: 20 October. Auditions for all members will be held on 7-8

November. Rehearsals start on 9 November. Performance will be between 19-25

November. For accompany we will have guitar, base guitar, drums, keyboard,

Being part of this very holy occasion is an exceptional great opportunity given

to us by Swami. This needs a very focused and professional approach of the

choir members. If they choose to join this concert and sing in the 80th

Birthday choir, to make this concert as their special offering of love, deep

devotion, and gratitude to Swami must be the purpose of their visit.
