(Sundharar) stayed worshiping the Lord and his devotees singing Thiruththondath

Thokai and composing many songs on the Lord in the Anthill. There was a farmer Kundaiyurk

Kilavar who

adored Arurar a lot. He used to supply rice, lentils and other food grains for

his house out of his reverence. Once the monsoon failed thrashing down the

agricultural production. The farmer who enjoyed serving the devotee of the Lord

was quite worried how he would serve Arurar at that time. He slept in that

told that He would give the rice for Arurar. The next morning he was amazed to

see a huge mountain of rice that covered the limits of the town.

praised the Glory of the Lord and the ease of His Grace towards the devotees.

Realizing that the stack of grains was too huge for him to mobilize to

Paravaiyar's house, he surrendered himself to Arurar telling the grace the Lord

made and his inability to bring that to his house. Arurar came with the farmer

to his town Kundaiyur and

saw the heaps and heaps of the grain and begged to the Merciful Lord at Kolili

to mobilize the grain heap to his town.

saw the tiles he kept under his head while sleeping had become gold.

font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold"> He sang the Lord

abodes of the Lord Shiva who rules in all the directions. He travelled on the

banks of Kaveri and worshiped numerous abodes of the Lord with all his love. He

worshiped the Lord of Austerities with the Namachchivayath

Thiruppadhikam and with many more hymns.

There he received 12,000 gold coins from the Supreme Lord by singing marvellous

hymns. As per the Lord's suggestion he left the gold in the river Manimuththaru

to collect it in the pond of Thiruvarur.

font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> After

completing his pilgrimage he returned home at Thiruvarur where his loving wife

Paravaiyar waited to receive him. One day he called his wife Paravaiyar, to

accompany him to the pond of Thiruvarur to collect the gold he left in the

river at

and said ‘how could one get the gold from this pond that was left in the

river somewhere else!

searched for the gold. For a long time he failed to find it. He sang pleadingly

to the Lord of Thirumudhukunram to help him to get the gold. By His grace he

got all the 12,000 gold coins he had left, while all spectators including his
