Guest guest
Brother Soumendra, and all the brothers and sisters Sai Ram. It's really a very beautiful prayer. I think we can add this to our prayer format of our prayer group. This prayer envelops each and every thing that we ask for Bhagawan. and also I found this prayer in http://www.saidarbar.org/prayerroom.html and i have included this prayer to my copy of our prayer format of the group. "The power of Prayer is Universally accepted by all religions and cults. Prayer helps in achieving not only personal benifits, cultural purposes and mental peace, it also helps for the social good. Nothing is equal to Prayer in protecting the well being of an individual as well as the society. To achieve universal peace we request Sai devotees to pray Lord Sainath in this Prayer room site. "Oh! Sainath, the symbol of God in physical form, let your vast knowledge, true nature, energy and a heart-ful of compassion be the driving force of mine in all walks of life". May the wicked turn good May the good attain peace May the peaceful be freed from all bondage May the liberated redeem others. May everybody be happy . May everybody be free from disease May everybody have good luck May none fall on evil days. May everybody surmount difficulties May everybody have good fortune May everybody realise his ambitions May everybody rejoice every where." and also the prayer copied below OM SAI SHREE SAI JAYA JAYA SAI Many devotees do "Nama Japa" without knowing the meaning of that Nama (Name). But, if we know the exact meaning of that Name and do Japa of that Name it will be easy and smooth to concentrate on it and attain salvation (self realization). Sri Ramana Maharishi says, "If you do Nama Japa constantly of your Ishta Devata (Beloved God/Guru), you become yourself that Nama Japa, i.e.,you merge in that Nama (God)." Let us now know the meaning of the Taraka Mantra "OM SAI SHREE SAI JAYA JAYA SAI" and chant the same constantly to finally merge with him. OM: means, God is creator, protector and destroyer. For ordinary mortals "destroy" means death, but for God's/Guru's ardent devotees, it is Sadgati, liberation from the body. Jeevatma merging with Paramatma (Mukti), and there is no birth for them SAI: Sa-means Satva guna or good natured. Ayi means mother in Marathi. God is omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient and Sadguna Sampanna with six attributes, namely, Jnanam (Knowledge), Aiswarya (Wealth), Balam (Power), Shakti (Energy), Veeryam (Potency), and Tejas (Effluence). SRI SAI: Sri means Goddess of wealth (Lakshmi). SAI means as defined above, so SRI SAI means Lakshmi Narayan. JAYA JAYA SAI: Jaya means victory. JAYA JAYA SAI means double victory, i.e., great victory of Lord Sai, who is residing (all pervading) in all hearts. The whole world (Universe) is pervaded by God Sai. So by uttering/chanting BABA's Taraka Mantra, "OM SAI SRI SAI JAYA JAYA SAI" the Sai Devotees invoke His (Sai's) Blessings for temporal and spirtitual welfare of the whole world. This form of Nama Japa was inspired by Shri D. Sankaraiah of Hyderabad on Datta Jayanthi Day (10-12-1981) in Shirdi. Since that day up till the present, several Saptahas and Saptha Saptahas are performed in villages, towns, and cities all over India and world.
