Guest guest
Sai Ram, Recently I came to know that I am just an aspirant but not a sai devotee. Last May (2005) I was in Brindavan and met one aunty who is always in inner conversation with Swamy. Another aunty (close to me) asked her what does Swamy say about me (what's his message for me). She said, Swamy wants her to be a devotee. I was surprised, i was under the impression that I am His devotee for a long time. Few days ago, in a satsang one sai brother mentioned that we are all aspirants but not devotees. Swamy should accept that one is His devotee. I read in saibabanews emails that, one has to surrender to God to be called as a devotee. Could you please throw some light on this topic. What is meant by surrender, how to become a true devotee in practical terms. Also, many members of this group practice meditation. Please give some guidelines on meditation. I have a strong desire for practicing meditation but I am very lazy. Please share your experiences when you started meditation and how you progressed etc. Thank you so much. Sai Ram Rajani. I hope that this will make you clear, how to become devotee and if not getting clear go to the though which was displayed yesterday offer all your works to LORD and never differentiate them aas my work HIS work this is the easiest way to become devotee. Sai Ram ---------- "kc" <kccn Thu Aug 25, 2005 6:03pm Re: Sai Devotee SaiRam, Rajani. Here is one of Bhagavan's definitions of devotion (devotee)- in 4th statement below. kc. (Source: The Avatar and His Mission by V.K. Narasimhan available at http://laluni.helloyou.ws/askbaba/guide/avatarmission.html) Bhagavan announced His Mission in the following words way back on 25th May 1947, when he wrote to His elder brother Seshama Raju in reply to his letter: "I have a Task: To foster all mankind and ensure for all of them lives full of Bliss (Andanda). I have a Vow: To lead all who stray away from the straight path again into goodness and save them. I am attached to a Work that I love: To remove the suffering of the poor and grant them what they lack. I have My definition of Devotion I expect: Those devoted to Me have to treat joy and grief, gain and loss, with equal fortitude. This means that I will never give up those who attach themselves to Me. When I am thus engaged in My beneficial task, how can My name be tarnished as you apprehend? You can yourself see the full glory in the coming years. Devotees must have patience and forbearance." saibabanews, rajanimohan <no_reply> wrote: > Sai Ram, > Recently I came to know that I am just an aspirant but not > a sai devotee. ..... Guest guest
although, i am not competent to explain your question but still with the very very limited knowledge the answer is as follows: surrender means - follow what the teacher / preacher says through out the life without any questions and at the same time trust the person at all the time without any doubt. the true surrender means 'manasa, vaacha & karmana'. when these three things are followed, you are totally surrendered. with regard to meditation, please find out any yoga or nature cure centres if you could not find any Sai centre. any way meditation is good. hope, you are convinced. with regds dvs prasad
