MANAKKANYCHARA NAYANAR font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue">In the beautiful land called Kanycharur, font-style:normal">Manakkanycharar was the chief of the king's armed forces. His arms were mostly folded in saluting the Lord who dances with swinging eight arms and His devotees, who have the character of not depending on anybody other than the Lord Himself. He was the chief, but was humble. He had a lot of wealth, but was simple. He had a lot of men to serve him, but he served the devotees obediently. His orders led the entire army, but he was waiting for the orders of the devotees' always. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">He prayed to the Supreme to bless him with an offspring, which he didn't have for a long time. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">By His grace he got a beautiful baby girl who later added to his fame by her great deeds font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> He brought up that child, the boon of his austerities, in a grand way that the entire town admired at. She was fed with the unsaturating sweet of the love for Lord Shiva by her loving father. Thus she grew up not only as the goddess of wealth, with beautiful ornaments decorating her always but also into a very fine-looking lady. Her beauty shone like a stunning diamond by her dark long black hair. She had such an attractive hair, which made every other lady to look twice and be jealous. As she approached the age of getting married, the elders proposed "Comic Sans MS";font-style:normal">Eyarkona Kalikkama Nayanar who was an ardent of Lord Shiva as the groom. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue">Both the families were happy about this wedding and they found a suitable day for the marriage of those two roses font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple">. On that day amidst the sounds of drums and other music instruments played in the marriage function the Lord of peculiar forms came in the form of a yogi. He had ear ring ball that swings in the air, holy thread decorating the chest, a cover holding the holy ash that burns the source (of sufferings) into ashes. With His body shining like the flame with holy ash smeared on it, He entered the house of font-style:normal">Manakkanycharar. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold"> font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">As soon as Manakkanycharar saw the Shiva Yogi, he fell down to His feet. He was more than happy. It was a boon for him that a Shiva Yogi graced the occasion. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> "Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">For the giver of boons it was an occasion to show to the world the excellent characters of His devotees. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">After getting His blessings Manakanycharar brought his daughter. She came out with a thick cloud like wide beautiful hair decorated especially for the occasiuon to get the blessing of the sage. color:blue"> bold">The Lord who came in disguise told Manakkanycharar that the beautiful hair of his daughter will be very useful for Him as Panychavadi font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-style:italic">. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple"> Manakkanycharar didn’t think twice. He took that statement as on order, as a boon; took his dagger cut off the dark pretty hair of his daughter in a moment and presented to the sage. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">According to the tradition cutting the hair of young females is not considered as a good sign. But for Nayanar the wish of the devotee is of utmost importance even though it was the time of his daughters wedding. 10.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">The Shiva Yogi acted as accepting it. Then disappeared to show the truthful devotee His true form. He appeared on the holy Bull of justice with the Mother of the Universe amidst the rain of flowers from the Devas font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue">. Nayanar prostrated, cried out of joy by seeing His graceful appearance, praised the Lord with the best words. "Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">The Lord said that it was a deed to exhibit his love for God to the entire world and blessed His slave of uncorrupted love. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">The girl who offered the hair without any hesitation was blessed by the Merciful Lord and got her hair back which looked much brighter and prettier. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">When Eyarkon the groom came to know the great deed of Manakkanycharar, with his heart filled with emotions he saluted Manakkanycharar. color:blue"> Later Manakkanycharar got an eternal place under the stable feet of the Lord. font-family:TSC_Nattai"> Sai Ram Shivathmika Attachment: (image/jpeg) image001.jpg [not stored]
