Potency of the Gayathri Mantra

Aum Sri Sai Ram Brothers and Sisters:

 

It was on Friday afternoon that a lady told me her story about the potency of

chanting Gayathri and the effects it could have as we should not limit them to

just chanting for healing humans but everything in his creation.

She's been chanting the Gayatri for the purification of the environment as well

as the water which is so polluted as she walks twice daily to this river. She's

been witnessing the cleansing of the river on a gradual basis.

However, something totally different happened a few days ago as she noticed a

"Canada Geese in some difficulty sitting by the river bed for a couple of days

as the bird appeared to be very sick with its head down. So the lady called out

to the bird on THursday and the bird gently lifted her head and then sat her

neck back down so the lady was puzzled as to the cause of action and left.

The lady returned on Friday only to find that the bird was still there and in a

very serious condition so she thought it was her duty of "chanting the Gayatri"

with all her love pouring towards the bird. A few minutes into the chanting the

bird got her beak up and started to look at the lady and by the 3rd chanting of

the Gayatri the bird lifted her head and shook out the cobwebs and by the 6th

the bird started to get up and move her feathers. The lady continued her

chanting and by the 9th the bird got up and walked slowly to the river and then

into the water and started to take her bath and then dove to get something to

eat (algies) as she appeared very hungry as she hadn't eaten for quite a few

days. The "Canada Geese" then started to "bow" to the lady. The lady was so

moved by this as she fell and scratched her leg but she didn't mind as the bird

then started to move swiftly and became normal once again. The moral of the

story is that

there are so many species in his creation and we must do our duty of praying and

in wishing well for the benefit of all.
