Not all daughters in law, rather most, change the sons they married ,while most of the daughters do not change themselves with marriage. The saying is about a forgettable miniscule of a minority of the community of daughters in law/sons. As regards daughters what it says is an abolute fact. This is my happy experience. Mahalakshmi's parents are lucky she arrived in their family.
