Guest guest
OM SHRI SAI RAM, Congratulations to everyone in the prayer group. Can anyone tell me why we recite the Sai Gayatry and the Sai prayer in this program 28 times? Why not 27 times? As we know that swami says that the Gayatry should de recited in multiples of 3. Another thing is that I think that we should continue to recite the Mrutyum Jaya Mantra together with the Vishwamitra mantra. I am living in Vemezuela. As for my work, it is impossible in these days for me to do my prayers at 7:00 .am. as I begin to work at this hour. Can I adopt another hour for this sadhana? Guest guest
Sai Ram Brother Seew , According to the Vedic literature, the auspicious numbers for repeating this mantra are I0, 28 and 108 so we picked 28 times and also for time limitations ,another point was when Chandika Homam was done at White field in Swamis presence- Dhanvantari mantra was chanted 28 times so from there also we picked up 28 times.(this auspicious number) (some sacred books have 28th chapters devi bhagavath puran etc) 2nd point you mentioned about Maha Mritunjoy mantra and Vishwamitra mantra- Yes we are chanting both mantras first Mritunjoya Mantra and then Vishwamitra mantra. 3rd you mentioned about the timings- now if you can't make on week days (like Thursday we pray at 7.00 AM) then another option you have on Sundays and that is also at 7.00 AM. Now if that doesn't help with yur timings then certainly you can try with other timings which is best for you because somewhere your prayer might coincide with other devotees which is done throughout the world. Also I am forwarding the Sai Links where you will find the prayers in sequence. http://www.saibabalinks.org/saiprayergroup.htm Hope this helps. Swamis blessings to you Sai Ram Soumendraseewe spad <seewespad (AT) (DOT) es> wrote: OM SHRI SAI RAM,Congratulations to everyone in the prayer group......>
