But “Vasista” was known as a “Brahamarishi” – Sage established in Brahmam (Highest class of sages). This was the sole reason for Vishvamitra to fight against the great sage Vashista. Vishvamitra was originally a King named as Kaushika. Later he undertook penance and became a sage, but even after becoming a sage his angerness always worked against him.
